Thinking about becoming a unity owner. Before that I would like to ask you to recommend internet radio stations. No matter what style, just quality and originality counts. Many thanks, Tuna

Pinetop Perkins, legendary piano player, passed away in Austin yesterday at age 97. One of the all time great bluesmen, he performed regularly around Texas and influenced countless players. RIP.

I purchased a download of the 24-Bit/96kHz version of 'Tommy' from HDtracks this evening. I paid for it using PayPal as the site will not accept UK cards. The Java based download manager that HDtracks use managed to download the pdf file of scanned...

Saw these guys last night in Glasgow, it was an excellent gig and their latest album - "Someone Here is Missing" is first-rate, too.

Whilst ripping my CD, as you do these daze. I found two album titles that gave iTunes a glitch The first was Nivarna's excellent 1968 record  The Existence Of Chance Is Everything and Nothing Whilst the Greatest Achievement Is the Living of Life...

I've been reading about the original version of the Roling Stones Beggars Banquet album and how it was approx 30 seconds longer than intended. Apparently the most recent versions of the CD have been sped up to account for the original error. It...

Where is the best place to by MFSL CDs in the "British Isles" The postage from MOFI direct is prohibitive and my ebay seller JONIFAN seems to have downsized his stock dramatically. Amazon stock is very hit and miss. I'd like to get the Roy Orbison and...

Even if you did not have to, I have been on a forced not buying spree over the past six months because of my financial situation and that I bought loads of stuff over the previous 5 years and wanted to get to know what I had more intimately. So with...

Can't let this one pass without comment. A huge part of my musical formation. The  Shadows must have made more young lads, ( and I guess lasses) to pick up a guitar,. I was always intrigued by the 4 string  long necked version jet...

Recently downloaded the 24/96 version of The Who's Tommy, an all time favourite. Well the sound quality is simply astonishing and I did not need to compare with the CD before posting in the Streaming Audio area. Every aspect of the sound is...

I recently ordered a copy of the first album by Spirit on Sundazed vinyl. I wanted the original mono mix of the album ... I doubt that I would have bothered had it not been mono. The first side played well with only one small click on the second...

And a good few more I can't remember, all Live on vinyl 2LPs, all pressed in the E.U. Anyone heard any of these albums & are any worth buying?

Hello, I will do a report on High Resolution Audio downloads for DW-TV. For this report I'm looking for a music lover in Berlin who uses this technique (and also got a nice stereo). DW-TV is germanys international broadcaster. It's quite urgent...

Hello all, I've not posted for a while, as I lost my musical mojo a little bit last year.  I seem to be back with it this year so far, and have become interested in high resolution music in FLAC format.  There seems to be a lot of classical...

I just purchased, the above CD, not knowing it wad HDCD, I can't find any mention on the package, put into my CDS3, and saw HCCD letters appear. Intrigued I compared some of the tracks to standard 16bit PCM tracks, and there is certainly more air and...

I bought this cd last night and this girl can sing. That being said, this is the worst cd I've ever bought. The recording of this cd is terrible with the compression they use on it. I'm sick of going into a cd shop and it being a crap shoot of wither...

I have recently been demoing replacement speakers for my venerable but ageing 'briks.  The obvious choice of music for a demo is the repertoire one listens to most often for pleasure. In my case this comes down mainly to jazz and classical, but...

I have been a big fan of Ralph Towner for many years but for whatever reason I have never got around to seeing him live. This will change on 3 rd March when he plays at St Georges Hall in Bristol. Tickets booked, row C. Cann’t wait…!

Bought these for £12 apiece and just noticed, contrary to the only 'Amazon' review The Cars first album is definitely a remaster and better (unusually) than my original. Nice simple packaging too.
