Hi Guys, I have recently upgraded from an arcam solo and bose set up to a supernait H/C, CD5x & PMC DB1i. Suddenly I can actually hear music again!! I was listening to the sound track from Quadrophenia and really enjoyed Night Train by James Brown. Any recommendations for good JB recordings?? Thanks, Richard

I heard a performance of this last weekend at the Edinburgh festival and rather liked it - particularly the intermingling of the spirituals. It seems that I ought pick up a recording and get to know it better. I see Davis has done it several times...

One of the great 1980s groups is reforming with the original line-up (not the late John McGeough, obviously) for a couple of gigs in London and Manchester next February.Never saw them first time round, so this is one re-coalescence I shall be looking...

Got an e-mail from his site the other day - I believe Hans has a few fans amongst the forum so you might like an extremely early heads up that he is touring next year (guess they're expecting a rush on tickets!??)Looks like he's keeping it low key in...

I've just upgraded to iTunes 8 and with it, the new "Genius" smart playlists. Thus far, I'm intrigued but not yet really impressed. As "they" (Jobs' Army) claim it's an emergent, learning algorithm, I'm prepared to give it some time. What do others...
