Sad news this morning, critic Alan Blyth has died: http://music.guardian.co.uk/obituaries/story/0,,2149540...ml?gusrc=rss&feed=39 A wonderful and insightful critic, particularly of the works of Wagner, Britten and Verdi (and much more besides). His contributions of late have been one of the very few things still worth reading the Gramophone for and will be sorely missed. regards, Tam
One of the last great critic's voice is silenced. May he rest in peace.G
