The new Gotan Project album (Lunatico) is thoroughly excellent (and possibly even better and more accomplished than the mega-selling Revancha del Tango, albeit somewhat 'more of the same').Even better news is that the vinyl pressing is tip-top quality...

I was rummaging through the CD collection and stumbled upon an old impulse buy from a bargain bin: The Steampackets featuring Rod Stewart. I have just finished listening to it and wow, I'm quite impressed. First of all, the recording and production is...

Dear Fredrik,Was browsing amazon and I came across this and wondered what you made of it? Judging by the number of discs, looks to me like it could be an out of copyright reissue of the original masters set - if so, looks like something of a bargain....

The album Fires has a number of great tracks. Great voice and loads of heart and intelligence in the songs. It is getting loads of air time on my system. Very much recommended.

Just given this a spin... I like it, BUT...the engineer should be summarily flogged. Is it just me (or my copy) or has this been compressed to within an inch of it's life!!Aaargh!
