I have had my NDX now for around a month but still find myself buying cd's and ripping them.  Could I please ask what web sites people have used and would recommend for downloading music.  This takes into account quality of downloads and...

Hi Music lovers, I'm looking to purchase a hi-res album from HD Tracks, or any other provider, and was wondering if they're any good ? I have bought a couple of albums before from this site (Bob Marley's Legend Album & Carly Simon's No Secrets both 24/96) and although they do sound good ive always felt that they should sound much better tha the CD copies I have. I'm particularly interested in buying a 24/192 album which I've never done before so I suppose...

Photographed this band last night, and the drummer and backup guitarist were a real hoot...drummer reminded me of Keith Moon, he held the drumsticks in his fists like turkey legs and flailed wildly, was drenched in sweat but really a good drummer....

This could be interesting; In 1955 Glenn Gould signed an exclusive contract with Columbia Masterworks, and remained with the label until his untimely death in 1982. Gould’s first release, Bach’s Goldberg Variations, took the music world by storm, and immediately established the 22-year-old Canadian pianist as one of the most brilliant, original, charismatic and provocative classical performers of his time. Sixty years later, Gould’s prolific recorded output remains a stimulating presence.

As discussed in another thread; just recommendations please, no rambling debates about the pros and cons of 24 bit etc.   I'll start with Simon and Garfunkel greatest hits - which is a superb album and recording in 24 bit

My vote for the worst goes to the current one from Sam Smith, i don't mind his previous songs but this is dire. Apparently it sounds like Jackson's 'Earth Song' (hard to comprehend this was same person who wrote Billie Jean....)  which is...

Any feedback on this now it's been out for a while? I'm particularly interested in the high-res downloads available but loathed to commit unless the remastering is a genuine improvement as I have all the material already.

I have just received my vinyl copy of David Gilmour's "Rattle That Lock" which the run out stamps indicate a first press 1A/ 1B. I understand the desirability and the cost premium attached to rare 1st press S/H vinyl, My question is do the vinyl...

Just thought I'd mention that HD Tracks UK has Johnny Mathis Singles in 192/24 for 4hrs 20 minutes for just £13.60. On the US site it's $50(ish). OK, we're not all Johnny Mathis fans, but some of us will remember him as part of a mis-spent youth, and for us 87 tracks for just over thirteen pounds has to be worth a tickle! (IMHO) I should perhaps have waited for the download to complete & listened to some of it before posting, but hey... how bad can it be?

So I finally did it, I brought my first brand new vinyl the other day for the princely sum of £29.99. And it seemed only fitting to get the new iron maiden album book of souls. There not even my favourite band but at least there early stuff was around to be on vinyl and my recent upgrade to a rega turntable to replace my old technics table gave me in itch to get Some more. I heard the song empire of the clouds on the radio and being old school rocker thought I'm going to go out and find that...
