Well well well, it seems that the very industries that are kicking people's doors in, confiscating PC's, and dragging teenagers off to court for downloading MP3s actually started life as pirates themselves. Read about it on the 'Wired' site here: ...

Just wanted to say what a great value set this is (£14.99 CD Source P&P free). It was recommended in the "Lost Days Posts". Nearly 300 minutes and I only skipped one "performance" the dire PIL. Worth the price of admission for Frankenstein alone. Some classic moments in there highly recommended. Howard

Just got home from a night at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham (walking distance from my house ) having been to see EW&F in concert. Actually my third time seeing them live. The first couple of times, albeit a few years ago, their stage show was stunning, magical and fun. Musically they were top notch and very very good. Tonight, the show was MUCH scaled down, and I felt quite disappointed with the lack of their usual flair for a good technical, illusionist show. They played pretty...

Did anyone see Mr Axelrod & The Orchestra at the Festival Hall last night? It was absolutely brilliant - a two and three quarter hour set with two intermissions. First up The rchestra played for about 30 minutes (all material unfamiliar to me). Then the big A himself came on, and we were treated to awesome versions of Tensity, Holy Thursday, Merlin's Prophesy, The Sick Rose, etc. Richard Ashcroft guested on a great version of the Electric Prunes' Holy Are You. Apart from Tensity, the best...

Just curious, 'cos yesterday, Greatest Hits of 1989's second disc (for "Bring me Edielweiss" - he he!) was unrecognised, but the first disc was correctly identified - but with no "Disc 1" label. So I did some tests; Hits 5 (incredibly rare) is listed...

In much the same spirit as the ongoing thread devoted to lesser-known works, I thought it appropriate to start a new thread devoted to music composed solely by living composers. These works will represent our time for future generations, and I think...
