For Dozey:-   As some of us have " transgressed " and fallen foul of the "RULES" by posting future events in the review thread, I have started this new "Upcoming Events"  thread.  I couldn't find the old thread and suspect it...

Pete, who has supplied me with good second hand vinyl over the years had to pack up shop when the market in Watford was closed. The new outdoor market wasn't suitable for him but he has found some lovely premises around the corner in Market Street...

And if you care to tell, why?   For me it's easy. George Harrison's 2001 CD remaster of his 1970 triple LP "All Things Must Pass". His last dedicated project before his death, Harrison's mix minimized the effects of Phil Spector's echo/reverb...

Anybody going to Bielby Music Festival, "Possibly the smallest festival in the world", at the end of August?   It is not the Led Zep tribute band that attracts me but Harry Collins billed as:   "Pig farmer by day, singer by night "!...

My Analogue Productions vinyl copy arrived in the post this morning. I ordered it from Roger Waters' website. Nicely packaged and pressed. Initial impressions from a short listen are that the SQ is excellent with good reproduction of the original Qsound creating a wide soundstage. At £30 this has turned out to be a bit of a bargain.

The Flashbulb is Benn Jordan, formerly of Chicago now based in Georgia, and is one of my favourite artists that so few people seem to know about. Once I got into him he just became totally addictive. Benn started out as a techno/drill n’ bass composer and to be honest I find his early works too hard to take, but from around 2005 (though not entirely consistently) his music took on a very different slant –yes there are breakbeats in there, and yes they can (very) occasionally be violent, but...

So, suddenly Kirill Petrenko is chosen as their next music director.  Apparently he is big in Germany but I've never heard him.  Has anyone been to any of his performances and just how good is he?  An inspired choice, or are the BPO...

Does anyone know if downloads bought through the Pono website can be stored on a NAS for playback through a standard hifi, or is it a completely closed system?   I can't find any info on the Pono website (not that surprising) and so wondered if...

Listen to Jamie Cullum's exclusive play of 'North Star' from the new album on BBC Radio 2 HERE. The beautiful ambient-electronica-jazz soundscape City is the new album from Manchester guitarist and composer Stuart McCallum and his second studio album for Naim. City features a handful of seasoned musicians including McCallum on guitars, Robin Mullarkey , bass (ESKA, Roisin Murphy), Sean Foran (Trichotomy), Rhodes and Richard Spaven (Flying Lotus, José James) drums, synths and electronics.

I am looking for a copy of Diary of a Soul Fiend by Saint Jude either on CD or as a full fat download and am struggling to find a copy. I can get a 320 mp3 version, which I would prefer not to have to do, or I can pay £40 for a CD version from the rain forest site which I'm not prepared to do. Does anyone know anywhere where I am likely to be able to purchase a copy of this by any chance?

A very distinctive singer. I was lucky enough to hear him sing Tristan at Covent Garden on 7 th June 1978 (I still have the programme), I was also unlucky to chose an evening when he had a throat infection & so did not sing during the 3 rd act! He sounded pretty good to me in the first two acts though. He did make a fine recording of Tristan with Karajan & a wonderful Peter Grimes with Colin Davis.
