For some reason this little wonder passed me by first time. Picked it up last week from HMV for £4.99 after reading the rave reviews on Amazon. Can't get it off the CD player - Highly recommended!

Pearl Jam have been disappointing now for the last 3-4 albums IMHO. If Billy Corgan can do it so well with Zwan after the Pumpkins, and Chris Cornell can be so good with Audioslave (have you heard them both?? they are soooo good), what has happened...

I remember being completely knocked out by a track (on John Peel's show) by a little known welsh band called Datblygu. They've been on my 'list of things to investigate' for ages. Just wondered if anyone was a fan?! [This message was edited by the other nickc on TUESDAY 01 April 2003 at 12:08.]

I love Captain Beefheart's more accessible stuff like Clear Spot/Spotlight Kid and Safe as Milk but for some reason i've always avoided Zappa because i'm under the impression he is just too damn silly/odd for me. Am I missing out? Should I bother?

A blast from the past, according to the BBC Cat Stevens aka Yusuf Islam is back in harness. With the help of allmusic I can just about recall some of Mathew & Son, Tea For The Tillerman & Teaser The Firecat. What albums or songs of his from the dim and distant past do others recall?

Earlier this week I picked up the new album by Chris Difford, "I Didn't Get Where I Am" and have to say that it is utterly compulsive listening and undoubtedly the best album I've bought this year. If you enjoyed Beck's Seachange, James Taylor's...
