I was listening to 'Frame by Frame' by King Crimson at the weekend & thought it was a perfect theme tune for Fraim demos. Can anyone think of any others? Stephen

Woodface is onto a good idea with his music quiz. As that thread is getting a bit long, and leaning mostly towards rock and popular music, perhaps we can start a more classical thread. Judging from the threads on Mahler and Schubert, there's no lack...

Last night I had great fun at a Pop Quiz night. Our team had in it 2 radio DJ's & both of then ran music & dance clubs in a previous life. I thought that we were on to a winner, but came 5th out of 10 teams....oh well.. Each team had a fictitious name based around band or song names. If you know the SW of the UK you will understand our team name " I Just Can't Get You Out Of Minehead". There were also a couple of spoof tribute band names, my favourite being "Poxy Music"! I thought that it...

Dear classical music lovers First query: I’m searching for a good recording of Josef HAYDNs Cello concerto on LP (that’s right, that old black flat & round stuff of years gone by...) . I’ve already got the interpretation of Jacqueline Du Pre & Barenboim, but I wish to get one other version, both musically and technically top-quality. – Therefore not one of those “historic” ones. Any suggestions ? Possibly even with a hint of WHERE to get those LPs ?
