http://www.theguardian.com/mus...of-physical-graffiti From The Guardian. Since a lot of us are now using Spotify in our uniti's what about sharing some of the good music floating around through playlist sharing?   I have opened and quickly built a playlist . I have added some soul, jazzy in no special order....

I think this has been live for a few days, need a US credit card and address so appears to be US only. Personally I was initially excited to see RHCP 96/24 for Blood Sugar, Stadium Arcadium, By The Way etc available which are not anywhere else (HDT don't have those versions) so appear to be the first versions of records exclusively available on PONO from a record Company that aren't else where. Reading some 'join the conversation' posts on the site they appear to be no better or the same as...

There are three or four LPs under my tree but I can't open them until morning.    What have you unwrapped in the earlier time zones?   Time for me to hit the hay. Merry Christmas.

I am  always sceptical when I see another individual resurrecting old analogue vinyl an as usual, the price tag is nothing but eye watering.  Are we  losing perspective  and being conned along the way with the hype in vinyl...

I am in the process of converting a bedroom into a LP library. I have been looking at storage solutions for LP's and have seen online some people recommending Ikea's Expedit/Kallax range of shelving units. They are certainly the most inexpensive...

The quality is not great, but the interview is very illuminating. Klemperer is startlingly direct in his answers.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoozdhcrIK8   ATB from Geroge

A chance photo of George Harrison in Dublin 1950 "The photo was taken by Arthur Fields — a Jewish-Ukranian street photographer who became a Dublin institution; it’s estimated he took over 180,000 images on and around O’Connell Bridge during his career before he retired in 1984. George was snapped in 1950 as he walked through town with his mother and his brother Pete. The Harrisons were close with their Drumcondra cousins — regularly taking the ferry from Merseyside to spend their holidays in...

I saw Tull in the eighties in Melbourne on the 'Under Wraps' tour. Still rate it (along with the Moody Blues) as the most disappointing show I've seen. Anderson kept disappearing, presumably for a drink, and Martin Barre seemed happy to let the young man on keyboards carry the show. However, in a fit of lost youth nostalgia I bought tickets to see him in Christchurch, and was wond’ring if anyone had seen him recently and what they thought of the show? His voice didn’t sound like it had aged...

There was a post a few days ago, giving 20% off Purchases from HDTracks, with a voucher code. This code did not work for me. However, I have just received an email from HDTracks UK, with a voucher code, valid until 1/1/2015. The code worked, and I've just purchased 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' in 192/24, for £18 instead of £22.50 Nice!

Cream in a box – will it be AAA? We can only hope! “The complete studio and live album catalogue of peerless 1960s rock trio Cream is to be gathered together as a boxed set for the first time. Each album will feature exact reproductions of the highly striking original artwork from the releases, and will be pressed on 180 gram heavyweight audiophile vinyl, housed in a rigid slipcase box.
