I've been listening to these very late Bach works lately. I quite like the recording by Giuliano Carmignola and Andrea Marcon. Carmignola plays a baroque violin. Anyone else familiar with these?   BBM

Rather curiously though this imposition seems to start with and be squarely placed on the music and...

Has anyone bought from analekta.com? It is a Canadian classical label and web shop and they have a Beethoven symphony cycle with Kent Nagano and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal which I'm interested in.   So far it looks legit to me but...

I have just downloaded the new remastered, Hi-Res 96/24bit album, 'Imagine' by John Lennon. I am so disappointed with it. I was was hoping that it would blow my old CD version (2000) out of the water. I thought the new version would be louder, and...

I emailed HDtracks UK today, and asked them why the new John Lennon albums, which are now available in 96/24 Hi-Res downloads, are not available on their UK site. I was told it was because of record label restrictions. I then pointed out that the Paul...

There have been some interesting discussions regarding the music of J.S. Bach as of late. There have been some excellent recommendations made, as well as some discussion about whether these compositions should be played on harpsichord or piano....

Maybe it's just me, but, just occasionally, certain tracks just induce a great big spontaneous grin. The music and audio coincide perfectly.   Latest for me is 'Did I Ever Love You' from Leonard Cohen's 'Popular Problems'.   What's yours?...

Has anyone else played the "Bill Plays Bud" album? It sounds sublime on good (Naim) hifi but not many have heard of it. Some lovely arrangements and complex percussion not to mention brilliant piano playing.
