A website called FindHDMusic.com allows you to look for high-definition music tracks on all of the online digital music services with one simple search. It is sort of a cleaning house with one stop shopping for the 100,000 – 150,000 high-resolution tracks in existence. Pretty amazing!

impulse-presents-charlie-haden-jim-hall   Look for this with Google (didn't want to post actual link). Bluenote website.   1990 concert recording. Might be good one. But could just be a shameless grab for cash. Any thoughts?

OK, so here’s my impressions, for what they’re worth, of the Beatles mono playback at Abbey Road Studio 2 last night (4 th September). The equipment was as follows – Vertere turntable, Naim Statement amp and (I think) Focal Grande Utopia speakers. The cart was Ortofon’s new Beatles Mono 2M SE. I don’t now what the arm was (I presume it was a Vertere – maybe their Reference), nor the cables, or the phono stage - perhaps someone from Naim can help out. Physically, a very imposing set-up, if...
