I recently played an album that I haven't heard for a long time. I've been upgrading for a while now so things have changed sonically on a huge scale. I love the way that Naim makes the music sound 'live' and 'in your room' which is why I've invested...

I thought I would start a thread where we can reveal a recent musical discovery and how we came to discover the artist. My recent revelation (most of you will say I've been living under a rock or something I'm sure) is an artist called Rodriguez....

I got hold of a copy of Bowie's  David Live 1974 double album. Problem is side B has the same label as side A. APL2-0771, A2-E/B1-E. I have done some search but  have not found anything at all about it. Does anyone have any clues?

Been listening to this tune a lot lately and curious what your favourite is. My fave by far is the Michelangli/Giulini/Vienna Phil DG vinyl but I'm sure I need to listen more.  This is a bit of a Mozartian-Beethoven tune.

Late afternoon yesterday, i was absolutely gobsmacked how good this LP sounds -- this is one that i bought when i was @ Uni in the 70's (!!!)  however, the record was also showing its age, and some abuse during the student days, so i decided...

Listening to Crimson /Red. So good to hear the man back. The Devil Came a Calling is the only one making sense so far but think there's a couple of killers on here. Welcome back Patrick

Before the tape recorder and LP record the longest side that was generally possible for commercial release was about four minutes forty or fifty seconds long; this fact alone made recording in the 78 era rather taxing. But there were exceptions...

It has been reported that Lou Reed has died at the age of 71. Sad news, a great influencer and will be sadly missed. Thanks for the music and those times, Richard

As the title states:  Before spending my money on the Mofi release of this album, I'd like to know which version is considered as the "holy grail" of DSOTM if you are only going to buy 1 copy? Thanks! Regards,Michel

Just a so called "heads up" for those (like myself) who have been cursing the high price of the new Roy Harper double vinyl album "Man & Myth". Amazon's price has just dropped to a much more reasonable £16.70 (previously over £36). It's always a tough decision with Amazon knowing the best time to buy, but I have pulled the trigger - just in case it is just a temporary aberration.

Just looking on the Naim label site and noticed their sampler albums appear to be released on "odd years", with sampler 8 released in 2011. Does this mean they might be releasing sampler 9 for the end of this year?
