If your a fan, then set aside a couple of hours to absorb Joni's thoughts from her LA home. Joni Mitchell's interview with CBC runs the gamut - her paintings, the creative process, celebrity, and the evolution of her work – with many departures in the conversation for things like poetry and political musings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pEJuiZN3jI8 Enjoy

Is there anything that a person can do to speed up the release of hi def music in the US of A. I use Qobuz and am so jealous of the plethora of releases. Ironically many are American jazz musicians and even R&B that are not available here.

there are several of his biographical films out but I haven't seen this one. Gould remains one of the most fascinating character. I enjoy his Bach I have heard so far, as well as his Beethoven No.1 Piano Concerto and his creative cadenza.

For decades they have been thought of as a dying breed, but thanks to the continuing popularity of vinyl, independent record stores are enjoying a modest revival. Britain's remaining 300 independent record stores saw album sales increase by 44% in the first six months of 2013 compared with the same period of 2012, according to analysis of Official Charts Company data by the...

Ordered yesterday from Amazon:   The complete EMI recordings of Sir Adrian Boult of music by Elgar.   This set [on 19 CDs] starts in the early 1930s with famous and long unavailable recordings of the Enigma Variations, and the Introduction and Allegro [with the BBC SO], which were the first recommendations at the time, as well as the Wartime recording of the Second Symphony [also BBC SO], which has arguably never been surpassed, though the composer's own 1927 recording...
