Hi has anybody collected every Killing Joke studio album ever released, or what ever proportion you have, are you able to rank it in most favourite to least favourite order?

I have just discovered a Paris based company called Heavenly Sweetness who are reissuing analogue vinyl remasters of Blue Note albums at reasonable prices. I tried one, Herbie Hancock 'Takin' Off' and I'm very impressed with the whole package. The 180g vinyl is well centred and 'silent', the SQ is very good with no evidence of compression and the labels and outer sleeve are also reasonably good. They sound better than the '80s DMM reissues and I would go as far as to say they are better than...

I never really appreciated opera on record until I went to see it live though it did prepare me for the live event. My first opera was The Valkyrie performed to piano accompaniament by a group calling themselves the Master Singers as part of the Newbury Festival about 15 years ago, it cost me £15 and inspired me to want to see it again with the orchestra. This resulted in a visit to the English National Opera a year or so later, a second tier ticket was ~£30 and you couldn't make out the...

I was watching Skyfall on BluRay via my mid range 7.1 system and the theme song in HD (certainly the vocals) sounded much better than the 256k file I listen to via my Superuniti and Kudos S10 speakers. I guess my question is - is this normal or...

OK classical peeps; you gave me some excellent Elgar suggestions (of which I purchased 3), and now I would like some Strauss CD guidance, and in a nod to popularity, I would like the Blue Danube included if possible, but not exclusively. And...

With Easter coming up, I'd be interested if members have favorite recordings of Bach's St-Matthew's and St-John's Passions. (And if so, which ) My own preferences tend to fluctuate over time - the below reflects my current disposition on the St-Matthew's Passion. My first encounter was the old Herreweghe I, a fleet, melodic performance which convinces through sheer beauty of playing, singing and particularly the choral work. The overall approach is still the one I like best, but it's no...

So, glowing reviews for the most part. What do you guys think? I'm just listening through iTunes at the moment with the vinyl pre ordered, but I think on balance it's a pretty positive result. Hope there's a tour

Along the lines of the excellent “What is your pick for the 'grooviest' jazz album ever” I am aware the there is one or two Blues aficionados on the forum. So I will leave them to post first if that’s ok. Would also like to wish you all a Happy Easter. Regards Graham.

A copy of Sgt Pepper has been bought at auction in the US for $290,500 (£191,000) Its rated as one of the top two Beatles memorabilia items Makes me wonder what my very tatty cover & scratched record of Beatles for Sale with a smudged Macca signature would be worth ?? Maybe buy a copy of the latest release ???

Having bought many bargains over the years and sometimes finding unplayed or mint gems, has anyone found that the prices at some are rocketing? Obviously they are doing some research into prices, especially Oxfam, but they don't take into account the varying release dates, matrix, editions etc? The worse thing is that they don't consider the condition of the vinyl to bear any resemblance to its value. Yesterday I found a copy of Sandy Denny..The North Star Grassman... for £12.50 (Discodogs price)...

I wonder has anyone heard the Street Survivors re-issue and have any thoughts on it. Given that you pick up the original for less than half the price of the re-issue I wondered if it was paying the difference
