Iron Maiden’s The Number of the Beast was voted top album and (Danny Boyle’ s Trainspotting best film) of the last 60 years, in polls conducted by entertainment retailer HMV. Is this really the case? Altough I have nothing against Iron Maiden I would still think that there are other albums which better deserve this honour.

Listening to it right now. It suffered a bit in comparison to the brilliance of Who's Next, Quadrophenia and the rest but it's a first class album in its own right. If you haven't heard it in a while give it a listen.
