It is v well received indeed being awarded the mag's Outstanding Product accolade. No mean feat in that mag from reading it for many years. An exciting product. Hi Peeps What does an unburnt cartridge sound like? My Rega Exact has done about 20 hours and the bass is still a bit overbearing in the mix....is that a classic symptom? Many thanks Clive

Hi all, After purchasing a new SN2 from the Israeli dealer, I'm wondering if I should also replace my cd5i2 player. Any thoughts or advices about upgrading to a higher Naim CD player? I have a large collection of CDs, so no intentions leave the cd format. But still, maybe a Naim HDX is also a possibility? I also have the potion to get a secondhand Ayon Audio CD-5 Reference for a decent price. Thanks!

Incredible new detail and high frequency resolution is washing over me. Seriously. I am chuckling to myself as I listen. My system is sounding really quite different and definitely for the better. Since I had my ears syringed this morning. SQ doesn't start at the mains but with your ear canals. Get 'em checked. I didn't realise I had a problem until a week ago when they started ringing. Hi I am having trouble connecting an Astell and Kern AK380 to my new N72 Nac, I thought it would be a simple connecting to the usb port on the front but the N72 does not recognise the device. Another option was to connect to the line out but this is currently occupied by a headphone amp. I know i could steam by Bluetooth but i want a more stable connection due to occasional dropouts. Any help gratefully received.

Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me which cable I need to connect an Oppo HA 1 headphone amp to connect it to my supernait 2 amplifier. And various focal and foster headphones. My local dealer tells me chord offer one, a twin rca to 5pin din but the two they have sent do not function in the way...

I see the amps are now XLR, it may be other units like the cdp's, streamers and preamps will follow suit. I have never received an answer as to why a 5 pin DIN is used when only 3 pins are used. It seems a nuisance and too restrictive on interconnect choices since XLR is the norm.

I have been using my NACA5 jumpers since I got my ATCs and always had in my mind what improvements SL jumpers might bring. I have a system consisting of a CD5i, Nac 272-N, Nap 150x and Focal Aria 236 speakers. What would you advise the next upgrade to be. I am thinking of the power amp to maybe a 250 Nap. Any suggestions grateully received,

I'm been loaned a new Chord Music IC to try out. Initial impressions are very good, a strong competitor for the Naim SL IC. The Music cable is a big step up from the Sarum T which I thought was nice... maybe too nice. More thoughts as the cable runs-in.

Hello friends, I have just acquired the Uniti Nova and I love it... but I am trying to find out if the front screen is meant to turn off completely after a while or not. I understand that the proximity sensor illuminates the volume ring but what about the front screen? At the moment I can see it displays the input selection (e.g. Digital 1) and remains so irrespective or proximity. Is this normal? Any experiences with this? Thanks

Over the last 20 years I've bought Naim equipment both new from dealers and used. I'm not a serial upgrader but have spent money infrequently to achieve something specific then changed little for a few years. Anyway, I'd owned a NAP 180 since I bought it second hand in, I think, 2003. Clearly it was (over)due a service but still sounded good to me. Rather than send it away I decided to buy a recently serviced (olive) 250 and sell the 180. I've just packed it and wished it a fond farewell.

I noticed the other day that my better half has a tendancy to open the drawer of my CDX2 before the disc has completely stopped spinning. Hopefully my reaction will stop this from happening again, however I was wondering if this could cause any long term damage to the CD player?

Hi, got an option to exchange my NAP200 for a pre-DR 250.2. I accept that DR is the highly rated one, but I suspect that the 250.2 will grip the Focus 160 tighter than the 200. Am I on the right track?

Can anyone tell me why I can't get into programme mode on my new 252 - need to assign RCA's. Burundi's in; din's in; RCA's from dac are in. CD illuminated on top row and bottom, record, row. But when pressing programme on handset the light on the volume knob doesn't flash.. I'm sure I'm missing a trick..

hello all. Currently using Deezer premium via sonos into 150/122 and dac combo. (Flac ) Love the convenience of streaming but have noticed that the quality of streaming does vary in quality and clarity according to the artist and type ie jazz / vocals etc. Currently listening to cat Stevens the laughing apple tracks , and clarity very good , indeed as most of his are . Jazz again is on the whole very good. Thing is when I stream main stream , it just doesn't sound as good on some occasions.

Planning on buying a Nova and wanted to know whether it will require a Naim power supply unit to sound its best.
