Hi, I am currently utilising a DAC-V1 connected to a Mac Mini with Roon via USB. I have the DAC-V1 setup with 'PC Volume' enabled so that the main output volume of the Mac Mini directly controls with hardware volume of the DAC-V1. This is great as I also have Roon setup so that the volume control within the app adjusts the Mac Mini volume and thus the volume of the DAC-V1. Interestingly enough MQA is more expensive than the same files in 24 bit, which would assume that there is a physical or a perceived (marketing) differentiation in sound. I feel a sense of trepidation posting this in the rarefied atmosphere of the HiFi Corner, but I guess if I receive a lot of flak, then it will be well justified and I will have deserved it! Yes I know ANOTHER chord infection I'm looking to add a Mojo to my set-up for headphone duties & then portability with my DAP at some point down the road. It appears I need something like a BNC to 3.5 mini jack but there doesn't seem to be hardly any choice based on those terminations? Any recommendations for connection appreciated....? cheers

Hi all. As the market now appears to be flooded with used superunitis I have decided to hang on to mine for a while and upgrade my speakers. I currently have a set of KEF Q900s which are BIG. I have been offered a set of Monitor audio gold 200 s (at a really good exdemo price) by my local dealer who won't let me take them home to compare. I have hear lots of good things about PMC twenty 24s (which I can get a good deal on) and also Twenty5 24s- which I heard. but are out of my price range.

This seemed the best place to ask a question I’m sure others have solved. I’ve got an old Target TT1 turntable wall bracket I’m planning to use for a new turntable. It’s black, which isn’t universally popular on the domestic front, so I’m thinking of giving it a Farrow and Ball treatment. Holy moses, mother of god. I posted about being impressed with the D-fi Single Micro USB cable a few weeks ago. Well I ordered the D-fi Double just to see if it was worth the extra outlay. Hi peeps, Having some doubts about the phono board I installed into my Nait 3. Took some pics of them before installation and they have 522/2 B clearly printed on them. Couldn't see any of the little round stickers. Not sure what this represents, although they were sold as MM. Haven't seen this exact designation on the net. Hi - would appreciate any advice/ thoughts on the following. I have a nac n272/ nap200 into PMC GB1is. Room is approx. 5 metres x 4 metres with the speakers on the longer wall. The speakers are either side of a chimney breast and cant be moved. There is about 80cm from the speakers to the back wall. I am getting a SL DIN/XLR tomorrow and at 1.5m it is way too long for those of us with a single stack of Fraim to be off the floor when fitted. My Supercap and 250 are on the bottom two shelves of my Fraim (where they will stay), so much of the SL DIN/XLR's length will be resting on the floor which I am led to believe will be rather detrimental to SQ. It's from the early 80's i desidered one, so recently i took the opportunity to get one of the last available at the distribtutor. Recently bought my first Naim set up and as yet haven't found the sound I am looking for. It's all a bit muddy for want of a better word and doesn't seem to be working very well with my front end. Has anyone tried this combo? Can the Nait2 drive them effectively? I know Chris Bell had some observations, although his Nait2 is need of service. I recently found good price on a chrome bumper Nait2, which AV Options is currently rebuilding. In anticipation of receiving it I am thinking about different speaker possibilities. There are two other speakers I would consider - getting my old Intro 2s back from my Dad, or getting another pair of Rega RX1s (or trying their floor stander siblings).
