I currently have active set-up with 250s olive, Snaxo 242, 552DR and front end is NDS (555DR x2), CD555 (555DRx1). Borrowed a Super Lumina interconnect and tried it between nds and 552 .... omg sounds fantastic... everything is better .... makes my hi line sound thin and harsh. It is a keeper!!! .... I am so impressed ... I was skeptical but i have to say wow....

Hi, I'm currently using a pair of Leema Acoustic Xero's with my LP12, CD5 XS and Supernait 2, I've had them for several years now and have been very happy with them but am now considering an upgrade. I'm looking for something with a little more bass and better detail at lower listening levels, the Leema's only really perform well with the volume cranked up. I have recently moved to the dark side and am now enjoying streaming. I am about midway through the process of ripping FLAC copies of about 700 CDs. I am using a Sonos ZP90 streamer into my Naim pre and power amps. I have a Cambridge CP2 Pre Amp between my LP12 TT and SN1. I'm using the phono connections to the SN1, but I can only get any sound via the CD RCA Inputs, not from the Aux 1, which would have been the obvious choice. I don't actually intend to use a CD Player, as a reformed Vinyl user. I also tried the Din connections, with a Phono adapter with the same result. Assuming no obvious faults with the SN1 could someone explain? Thanks

Thought I'd share how a slight tweak over the weekend has made a lovely difference to the sound I'm hearing - but sure why really. I removed a grandfather clock from the corner of the living room which backed onto the same wall as the speakers (SL2s). I've recently bought pre-loved examples of a 555PS, NAP300 and Supercap2 (all of 2008/9 vintage and non DR) but, being aware of the possibility to service these in the future as well as upgrade them to DR levels, have been comfortable with this route to building a system I can enjoy and improve for many years to come. My next two purchases are intended to be a NAC252 and NDS but are there any pitfalls to be aware of with these two units with the "used previously" route to buying? thanks

Just purchased a Qb, it was all set up very easily. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at just how good it sounds. SWMBO.... also seems hugely impressed....So I have earned a few brownie points........ plus I have just noticed if a Qb is purchased between September 1st and 2nd October, you can claim £50 cash back from Naim, and more if you purchase a Muso. So if anyone is thinking of making a purchase, nows a very good time.

I never experienced this before and I owned and been around a lot of naim preamps. The tuner input which I was using as my main input went totally silent some time ago, the others work fine. It might have happened when I was connecting/disconnecting my walkman for recording from tape in/out. Anyone experienced something similar? Is it some kind of programming maybe??

I have the chance to trade my 250-2 and my ND5XS for a non DR Nap 300. I have started a thread in the Streaming section regarding the loss of the ND5 but I also have a couple of concerns about changing amps. My speakers are Dynaudio X32 and I have a 282 in a living room that is 6 x 6 m do people think that the 300 is a good idea in this set up.

I ask you if you know if Naim suggest to do a checking/recapping of some component inside the player after a suitable period or not? Time might have come for recapping my NAP250.2, Supercap and/or XPS2 (which powers the nDAC). Which also might be an opportunity to upgrade them to DR. In which order would you recap? What would make the biggest difference? Same for DR upgrade. Or should I go for Super Lumina into my Neat speaker instead of a DR upgrade? I'd love to hear your suggestions! Thanks a lot!

Hello, The volume potentiometer of my NAC 72 emits scratching noise when volume is adjusted, up or down. No noise is produced when the potentiometer is idle. Are there any straightforward ways to fix this? I understand the NAC 72 is now very old, but mine has very effective internal MC sound boards for vinyl reproduction and I have not heard favorably of a switch to the NAC 202. What do you think? Hello, I scratched an itch and bought a pair of used rosewood Harbeth 30.1 for 3500 dollars. If I was looking to try some tube sound, could I look to add a tube Pre-amp to the Naim Nait 5si? Any suggestions on Pre-amps? Thanks.
