I'm happy where I am with my 2 Naim systems, but just curious about that first Naim preamp NAC 12. How does it sound compared to a modern Naim preamp, and what does it do different...? I recall one of the forum members who has some amplifier design experience said the preamp is the most difficult to get right.

So far is there any Naim forumers tried the latest Chord Hugo 2 on NDX, 282, 250 base system? Is it a huge improvement compare to previous Hugo 1 & worthwhile upgrade from Hugo 1? Appreciate your inputs.

Hi – I have a Rega RP8/Alphetta2 with a Rega Aria phono amp feeding a Naim 272/250DR, and wonder if switching the Aria for a Naim Stageline phono amp (mc version) would be a worthwhile improvement. Because the 272 does not have a powered phono input, I’m a bit concerned about the separate power amp requirement. Adding a HighCap DR for the StageLine makes the switch from my Aria an expensive proposition. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hi all, In the next few months I'm going to be making a move to the USA and am just starting to think about what I'm going to do with my gear. I'm currently running NAC 272/NAP 250.2. In my house in the UK I have them plugged into a circuit on a 16A circuit breaker (MCB), and when I do occasionally power them down it can take several attempts to get them powered back up again without tripping the breaker. I understand at a high level, this is to do with the initial load the 250 draws. Once...

I am looking at acquiring a second hand NAP 300 and 300 PS from a gentleman over here in the states. He said when he came from the UK over to the states in 2013, he had the amp serviced and voltage changed to meet US standards. He said the service from included the capacitors and tants being changed out. He said it was performed at Graham's Hi Fi in London. Is that service they provide? I was on their website but couldn't tell. Thank you!

Just a quick (unofficial) update re the above. Nova owners cannot presently register their new units as this product does not yet exist on the drop down product list. I have contacted Naim and they (obviously!) intend addressing the issue. Just hope they manage it before the 30 days are up......

When I change inputs on my Nait 3, no matter which inputs, I hear a pop from the speakers. Has anyone had issues with this? If so, is there a solution. Thanks....

Rather that continuing in the drifting super lumina thread I'll start a new one on this. When I bought my Core I did a trail of a couple of DACs with the intention of using the one along side the Core on my Fraim while I ripped my CDs, the long term aim being an NDS.
