Hi, I have a couple of Dynaudio 1.3SEs that I currently use on a rather large class A amplifier. Due to some less practical aspects of large class A amplifiers, I am now trying to "downgrade" to a more minimalistic all-in-one solution. Naim seems to have a lot of interesting streaming amplifiers and I wonder if anyone has experience with Dynaudio 1.3SE and Unitiqute 2/Superuniti/Naimuniti etc? Although the Unitiqute 2 is not considered as high-end, it seems like a lot of people loves this...

Driving the same speakers, are there likely to be fairly noticeable sound differences between the two at similar moderate listening levels? I've demo'd the atom, and it was impressive, but I'd hold off for the nova if it was likely to improve the sound.

By hearing answers, one can infer typical speaker sensitivity and perhaps the optimal volume level. I suspect the higher the volume (e.g. 12 O'Clock) the worse the speakers. Then again, too low and one does not engage the bass drivers. i'm about 8-9 O'Clock.

Ok so i took the flatcap or and fitted a highcap DR tonight and after a few hours warm up I'm blown away. The music just sounds alive! A big three dimensional sound stage. It now sounds like the music has been lifted from the speakers and placed into the room. Devine!

Having had issues finding a replacement for my Naim S400, the search is over. ProAc D48R and it is staying, for a very long time I think. I am sure adding the TQ Ultra Black speaker cable a few weeks ago has helped quite a lot as well. An online review about the D48R sums this speaker up very well, "it is acts like a ProAc Tablett speaker - as in superb imaging, gets out of the way and just disappears until there is a track with real and deep bass".

While I know it's not ideal, is stacking a XPS on top of a 250 pure heresy? My 250DR is not driven hard and runs cool. If I add a XPS to my NAC 272, space constraints would unfortunately dictate stacking it (the XPS) on top of my 250 DR.

A quick question. Can the 180 power a Naim pre ? Namely the NAC72.

I've come to understand that the 'happiness' of the Snaxo is very important for the performance of my Active Ovator setup. I cannot have a Fraim stack in my room (I have handbuild / solid wood cupboard + bookshelfs) and I was thinking to put the Snaxo on a turntable shelf fixed to the wall. This would isolate the Snaxo for micro vibrations etc of the Poweramps (Nap 200's) / Hicap. Anyone tried this? Any further recommendation? Yes, I know the whole idea behind the Uniti series is that they are all-in-one components. But while I love the design and features of the Uniti series, I'm really just looking for a network player to integrate into an existing system. Of course Naim does offer network players in the Classic Series and the XS series. But those models are getting a bit long in the tooth. I've avoided upgradeitis for several years now being quite content with my Mac mini/nDAC/XPS/202/Hi-Cap/200 But yesterday I spotted a recently serviced 52 with SC with a really low price. However I'm not quite as flush as I once was so I'm wondering as I still have my LPs, would it not be better to save up and by a secondhand LP12 instead? Currently I'm rewiring my Spendor SP2s - the internal wire is pretty thin and the tin / nickel / brass / chrome internal connections aren't what they were 30 years ago! So replace the binding posts, replace all the internal connectors (now gold over copper) and reposition the crossover boards to allow better connection to the binding posts.
