hi just bought a pair a pair of the above speakers to replace my MA silver 8 saw a pair of exdemo pair at my dealers for £2250 when they delivered them they gave me a brand new pair at the agreed price as they damaged the ex dem pair bargin as they are £2999 new and they sound amazing after just a few hours so expect them to really shine after a few weeks.

Nordost has a new box that works with their power strip to "ground" the strip. It is about the size and density of 3-4 bricks tightly packed, in a nice looking non-openable aluminum box. Banana out to a solid plug that links tightly with their their proprietary 8 way power strip. I have enjoyed the power strip and the Valhalla 2 power cord. They drive my Powerlines nicely. What do you all think of the QKore? I have one on loan in my system now and I am undecided.

I'm basically happy with how the system sounds - not looking for a major rethink - but my NAP 180 needs a recap and I'm tempted to buy a newly serviced olive 250 or a 250.2 with a few years before a recap (and perhaps DR upgrade) instead. Dear Forum I recently moved house which has meant that I could re-install my 'old' naim speaker cable. I used Chord Rumour at my last house due to the length of the cable run and the fact that it was easier to use given the number of corners it had to negotiate, if that makes sense. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD 598's which I use for very occasional (3 to 4 times a year) listening through a Creative Soundblaster THX amp linked to Asus Notebook and my NAC202 (Tape 2 DIN input) near my system. I have a pair of Linn Kan mk1 speakers which I want to keep. I use these together with the N-Sub connected to a modern NAC 152xs and flatcap xs which works fine. Now I want to try out how a vintage naim power amp would work together in my system. Could you create good synergy with mixing old naim with modern snd which power amp would you recommend me to make a good fit with the rest of my gear?

Since upgrading from SuperUniti to the 272/250 combination I have noticed a significant improvement when occasionally listening via the headphone output into B&W P7 headphones. My question is, as you don't know what you don't know(!), precisely how good is the 272's headphone amp? Would I experience another significant improvement were I to buy a dedicated headphone amp? This question should be viewed within context of perhaps 5 or 6 hours per week headphone usage, as I'm not sure just...

After months of abstinence (only using my nds and bauer TT) I am once again very impressed by my CDX2. Just wow!! A very dynamic and "punchy" sound. And also warm and detailed - nearly a bit of everything to me.. But I never found a turntable with that CDX2 sound.. Is there any out there? I tried proJect expression and rpm5, rega P5 and RP10 (just lent 3 days), and bauer dps2 over the years. The "nearest" in that category to my ears was the RP10... But what would you say? i read on a discussion that a naim dealer said" the cdx2 is no longer produced ". If it is true, it is sad, the cdx2/xps2 is perhaps the most enjoyable cd player which exists, with a prat and urgency to be damned for, and with a very competitive price. I have owned Naim gear since 1989 and over that time, like many readers here, have bought and sold Naim boxes whilst hopefully progressing towards a personal audio Nirvana. Does anyone know if my grey Burndy from my 52/52PS can be used between an NDS & 5555PS DR? If not, what version is required as I believe both items come without Burndys. Thanks

I had a chance to audition several power supply upgrades to the n272. Wow what an amazing experience. My favorite was note the 555, rather the XPS DR. Better suited for the 272. More balanced, better tonality, less edgy. Oddly my dealer told me the NDX and n272 were best suited for the XPS DR and the NDS and CD 555 were best used with the 555 power supplies.

What are the thoughts of NBL's VS Brik"s. My Briks's are old but really sound wonderful. NBL's are available, is the plunge likely to be a happy one?? Please don't say I need to home dem. This is not possible. The NBL's are 6 hours by car away, and are privately for sale. I know a home dem would be the only way to tell. I am using both in equal measure both with equally favourable results and they say ProAc fit better within Naim amplification. However I spotted a misspelling on the back of ProAcs the word Impedance is misspelt as quote impedence unquote. Has anyone else got this misspelling ? A rather pernickety point of course but I am curious.
