Can anyone tell me if there is a replacement push button for this generation (olive) of amp. I've got six 135's and 2 of them is particularly bad, in fact one of them is stuck in the "on" position and the only way to turn it off is to pull the plug. I knew it was a bad push button and naim knew about them, but did they ever have a better replacement for that model ?
Hi Folks, Attached the photo for your reference, the new uniti series "Atom" is appear and demo at "Hong Kong Audio Visual & Portable Hi-Fi Expo", good performance !!! Enjoy & Cheers, marcobb
First, let me apologise before hand if this is a stupid question but if it is, please tell me! OK. Question 1...the Sarum line of cables. In terms of levels (from lowest to highest) would this be correct: Sarum Tuned Array Sarum Super Tuned Array Sarum T Question 2...if I had a 5 din Sarum Tuned Array, can I upgrade it to a Sarum T? If so, what sort of price range are we talking about? Thanks.
I have my US positioned away from the main system on a shelf with decent 'airflow' around the unit. I have just noticed that it is running hot across the whole case, very much hotter than my other units. Is this normal or should I get it checked out?
System: NDX, SN2, US (rips in WAV),PMC 25.23, 2X PL and (undeciced) superlumina interconnect. Hi all, Looking for feedback from ndac owners/users please as to the characteristics of the ndac....just a few words to describe what it adds. I Definately don't want 'bright' or 'heavier bass'. All through my different set ups over the years I've experienced some annoying exaggerated top end, although I suppose this is more dependant on quality of the CD. I.e. some discs sound great and some just...
Hi, Took delivery of my 282 today, plugged it in, powered it up and hit play. Only getting sound out of the left channel. Called Naim and confirmed it was connected properly. I put my 202 back and everything works fine so it can only be a problem with the 282. Going to have to return it but what could be causing such an issue? Thoughts please...
I noticed that few here own more than one Naim-based system and was wondering if there is anyone here who has two systems based on higher level amplification. I have the NAC 282 / NAP 250DR /HCDR and NAC 202 / NAP 200 in two separate systems and noticed that there is a member who has the same setup. I am aware that another member has a NAC 252 in the main system and a Supernait 2 in the secondary/bedroom system. I was just wondering. Does anyone here have two systems based on higher level...
Just said yes to a 552...............
I like CDs, i buy them, not keep them in addict, like the Japanese wonder formats and i am an addict on buying classic box sets that i barely listen... I have most of my CD collection on my NAS as well, enjoying them with 272 but when ever i listen from i NAS i start to DJ With my CD2X i put the album and listen it all while looking at this forum, it gives me a sense of achievement, " i listen my quota of 2 good album for today " So i like to improve my CD playing..... I can not find...
Hi to everyone ,can anyone tell me if the tellurium cd enhancement really works to improve your sound quality on your hifi I've read that it does I was thinking of buying the cd or download .
Chassis or Float the Ethernet input? I can't hear any difference in either option with my SuperUniti so thought I'd ask users which they've experienced to be the best option in such a circumstance?
just curious how many more have this setup other than me I know theres a few......
Naim has always had a suggested minimum requirement of 5m runs for NACA 5 speaker cable. It has also always been recommended that both left and right lengths remain equal. For 3rd party speaker cables - Sarum, Vertere, Super Lumina etc. does the 5m minimum length requirement remain? What about the idea of unequal lengths between the left and the right or should they both remain the same? Best Gregg
Hello, I'm new to Naim, but spending a reasonable part of my time in Oxford (when not in West Lafayette) and considering moving away from my current McIntosh 6700 integrated. My speakers are a pair of Focal Sopra 2's that I'm madly in love with. My only source is streaming: currently a Synology NAS to home-made raspberry to USB into the McIntosh's DAC. No plans for phono, tuner, reel-to-reel, CD, or any other source. Just streaming, mostly high-res digital, some CD quality. Living room is...
Quick question to the forum, has anyone heard of a firmer indication of the launch and availability date for the Uniti Nova?
I have a Supernait 2 feeding the high frequency of my T + A Criterion TCD 210 S speakers and a NAP 250 feeding the bass (bi-amped off the Supernait 2) with two 5m runs of NAC A5 cable. All works very well until I turn up the volume (to just less than halfway) when occasionally, the protection circuit is triggered. I'm thinking of upgrading to a NAC 252 and adding another NAP 250 to continue bi-amping as I know the 210 S are not an easy load to drive - does anyone know if this setup has a...
I have been thinking about getting a mains filter four way adaptor to use with my Superuniti. After recently convincing myself that I needed MQA only to find that with a blind listening test I didn't like it, i didn't want to buy the conditioner and then convince myself that it was making a difference post purchase.
Hi all, I hope that you can help me look into this issue. My Nait 5si is picking up some radio signal (I think it's from a nearby radio station) and it is driving me crazy. The radio signal is not subtle at all, it is LOUD, it is present even when volume level is zero and even when no other components/sources are connected to the 5si (just the 5si and the speakers). Meanwhile, another amplifier of mine, the entry-level Denon PMA-520AE, is absolute quiet (no radio signal heard). I just did a...
I am contemplating a HDX Dealers do not seem to rate the product Any thoughts and comments about durability of the hard drive
Getting the upgrade bug again. My last was to add an XPS2 to my (original) CDX2 and this brought amazing improvements, even through my 'meagre' 202. System: CDX2 + XPS2 Hi-Line 202 + HiCap2 + NAPSC 200 PMC DB1+ Popular wisdom on this forum suggest that my (comparatively) weak link is the 202 , even though it has all the PS upgrades. Out of my next upgrade I want to hear more detail, and PRaT out of my music, especially out of guitar and rhythm sections in the recordings. I don't particularly...
Is it permitted to have different cable lengths for each loudspeaker on a UQ2? Like 6.5m and 3.5m?
Just saw a posting on the well known auction site for an Aro. The price nearly made me spit my tea out! Surely it can't be worth that? It's years since I heard one so memory isn't great but as I recall it was a worthy alternative to the Ekos. Not better or worse necessarily, but very different. I preferred the Ekos at the time but could see the attraction. You could get a good Ekos for half that much. Well I did anyway.
hello, i have nap 300 dr and a room of around 14/15 feet(18/20 m2). I wonder if a high end monitor speakers would not be the best for my not so big room. I am thinking of raidho d1 or apertura kaiya or wilson audio duette. But no dealer have these speakers with naim electronics. My current are apertura altra, but the nap 300 can have better speakers i think. The bigger apertura may be too much in my room. Anyone has tried big monitors with nap 250, 300 or even 500? thanks. ( ps: i don't like...
hello all, i hereby summon the collective wisdom of the forum! i just got a headphone/headphone-amp setup; grabbed a DIN-to-RCA cable from the sideboard; plugged the DIN end into the "Tape In/Out" socket on the back of the 282; selected the "Tape" button on the bottom row of buttons on the 282; selected the correct source button on the top row of buttons; made sure everything was on, nothing was muted, and so forth... ...but i can get no sound out of the headphones. any ideas why this might...
