I'm struggling to get the remote between my 252 and NDS working. I have scoured the forum for advice and read the Naim manuals, but I still cannot get my iPad to control either volume or pre-input on the amp. I can select volume on (and appropriate inputs icons on) via the Naim app, and can see the volume and input controls, but none of it works. The lead goes from the 3.5mm NDS remote 1 output (or remote 2, I've tried both!) to a DIN input on the pre. Clearly some nuggetry on my part, but...

Hi all! I already have a single Powerline on my SN2 and may add some more in the future. As they have a fixed length of 2 m some will be quite a bit longer than necessary. How do you dress your Powerlines to deal with this? They obviously should be kept away from interconnects and speaker cables. Coiling seems like a bad idea as well. While there are a couple of threads addressing this subject, they are a few years old and I wonder if there are new(er) thoughts or experiences.

Just completed a demo. at a dealer of the new PMC Twenty5 .26 and Harbeth SHL5+, the electronics was the Devialet 440 Pro. dual mono. Not familiar with Devialet at all, but the dealer that I trust 100% said it was all that he had that was similar in both price and sound to the Naim set up I have. Dear Naim-freinds. Having recently upgraded to a 250.2 into Ovator-400s running both a nice lp-12 and an xps2ed ndac (upgraded) with a very nice streamer (sotm-sms 200 and roon). I currently have a 32.5 with improved cards and hicap, I wander if I can max out the pre-section more. The digital source sounds extremely good. Currently haveing a full 5x plus sonos setup. Would the 172 be a worth while exchange for the 122/sonos. The resale price from the 122/sonos would almost be the cost of a used 172. I like the idea of having to be able to use headphones and listen to hi-rez which i cannot do at the moment.

I recently carried out some 'frame maintenance' because the sound was going 'off' slightly. Removed the player and checked tightness of fittings (they were all good), got the platform sitting nicely on the spikes and pushed down to make a set of nice new holes. Hi I have been enjoying my 272 with 555ps into my Nap500dr..... I now have a chance of getting a 2 year old 552dr .... it will be a real push for me to afford.... my plans are to eventually replace the 272 with an nds... But in the meanwhile use the 272 into the 552 until funds permit an nds..... I have read all the threads on the 552 .... nobody seems to regret it.... I am still struggling internally with the concept of a pre amp at this value..... the 272 with the 555 is that good....

Im sure this will be a bit boring and self indulgent, I just would like to report some great news. After getting my 2000 52/SC serviced here in New Zealand my life has changed. The concept of what I once thought was music hads been rearranged in a very good way. I did have the 52 running on an older but serviced SC for a few months, to me that was impressive. Anyway once the sister SC/52 had been serviced and with 3 months to settle in. I just can't believe the difference , it's like night...

Hi guys, I have an Hi Line and I'm evaluating to move to TQ black diamond interconnect Din-Din. I alreday have TQ Ultra black speaker cable and I'm very satisfied. I moved from Naca 5 to TQ black to Ultra black speaker cable and I have always found a big step forward. Now I'm curious to try also an IC Black diamond but I cannot try it before comparing with Hi Line. Can you tell me what can I expect? How is the difference in the bass area? Simple question. I have managed to misplace my pre amp remote which normally would not be an issue. However the display lights are still on. I have my ndx remote in hand and system automation is connected....any ideas if I can turn the pre display off without the pre remote??

Hi Would a classic NAP250 (non-DR) be a significant improvement on a good CB 250 that has had a recent service by Classe A? The amp in my main system is a Supernait2 and my second system is a nicely serviced 62/Hicap/250. The CB 250 certainly improves the sound of the SN2 but I am wondering if It would be better to buy a S/H modern 250 as that would give me the opportunity at a later date to have the DR conversion and would save breaking up a nice second system My long term aim is to trade...

I want to enter program mode but my Flash remote hasnt worked for years. I used my CD remote (prog button) but sold that recently. The NDS remote does all i need .... or so i thought. Has anyone used another method for entering program mode or do i need a second hand handset ?

My current system consists of CDX2, 202, Hicap DR, Napsc, 200 (nonDR), Spendor sp3 /1R2, powerline on the CDX2, otherwise standard Naim cables.
