When I purchase a TT, and phono stage, and for arguments sake lets say a Stageline, they will be sited approx 3m from the Amp(SN2) on a separate self, my question is, which cable will be best suited runing from phono stage to Amp, 3m length. Regards

Hi there guy's I'm debating with myself.....I'm thinking of selling on my cd collection and just going to stick with vinyl and a streaming based system as I can't remember the last time I spun a cd ..so my nait xs,cd5i italic,arcam ir dac and rega ear mk 2 headphone amp would all be traded towards the purchase of either a superuniti or the pending arrival of the uniti star.(Nac 172xs also maybe an option)...the question is....as I'm not going to need the cd ripping and playing capabilities...

The unexpected arrival of a second Supercap DR in Marksnaim Towers means I'm maxed out. Could this be the end of upgraditis? I have opportunity to trade my SN2 + HICAPDR + $ for ex dem 272 + ex dem 250DR. I would keep my NDX as source and use 272 as preamp only. Is this a significant step up? (I'm keeping the NDX bc I enjoy my Alpha DAC) The $ I'd have to spend is fairly small.

I have read lots of previous threads about the 2Qute on this forum and it is a dac that seems to divide opinion especially when paired with 202, 282 & 252 due to their high sensitivity and the 2Qute having a 3v output. Has anyone been able to overcome the senstivity issues and had any success with the Qute into classic series Nac's?

Just had my Nait 1 recapped by Naim distributor and seemed only 7 caps plus two other little things have been replaced. Checked and got a reply saying that's Naim recap kit. Did I expect too much?

I found a dealer with ex dem 800's for sale at a very tempting price. What is the minimum Naim system to make 800's a worthwhile upgrade from my 400's?

We have moved into a new home and have set up our big system, with new speakers that are wonderful, BUT....there are only two walls we can place the speakers on and in each case there is the same problem. On either wall one speaker will end up 4 feet away from a side wall while the other speaker will be 15 feet away from the side wall, and the speaker within 4 feet of the side wall will dominate the sound stage, especially so in the case of the human voice. HI, folks. Just a quick follow up. I've had success (not perfection) with Emotiva cmx-2's. I've had DC on my AC issues here in California for a while. This was an issue with my prior amp a classe 70 so it's not a Naim problem. My old town, buzzed like mad, new town no isues but.. i'm back in my old town. Now running two cmx-2's one for the hicap dr and one or the nap 250 dr. Only having general buzz as one would expect. If you in the U.s. Try them. Last price was $99. Thank you. pjd

Hi I have been running with the Naim nait 5i-2 ( supported by a sealed subwoofer - for the low end ) quite satisfactorily for 4 years now. I have a snaps cap - snaps converted to a dual 24v rail by naim - comparable to a flat cap so I'm told. The SQ improvement over the nap (140) powering the nac (42.5) is a definite upgrade in SQ.
