from previous post my Flash malfunctioned last night sending very high volume setting and music from 01 went super loud for couple seconds before I could shut it down. This am everything worked fine. Now I get home and the logo on one of my 135s is completely dark- yet the amp works. Can anyone make sense of this? Could the sudden loud volume have damaged my 135? Why would the logo not light up but the amp sounds fine. What to do?? David

There's been some chatter on here about the Iota Alpha mini floor standers... just wanted to advise that there is now a review posted on the What Hifi site. Their consensus is similar to my findings (I have a pair in my living room system paired with a UnitiLite)... good all rounder, not picky about room placement, excels at communicating music, but not the most analytical. Perhaps a few on the 272/250 users could be so kind as to offer some words of their experience and wisdom on the following question Having upgraded my SU to a 272, what would be the suggested next step from the following; 1. Upgrade my 200DR to a 250DR? or 2. Add an XPS DR to the 272? or 3. Do nothing, as neither will offer a significant improvement through my PMC 20.23 speakers? A question for the Forum cognoscenti: I've tried connecting my AK70 via all the usb ports on both my NDX and NDAC. NDX message "Source Err." NDAC just plays dumb/dead. Is it possible or not? If it is then any suggestions on which operator error might be the cause? Thanks George

Though I would post some feedback on the 300DR and Super Lumina upgrade that occurred since Jan. Hi - I'm new to Naim and the forum. I switched from Cyrus to a Nac n272 and nap200 (ex demo non dr) (using pmc gb1is) a couple of months ago. Loving the musicality and dynamics - far exceeds my Cyrus system. I'm currently doing a home demo of a pair of Neat's momentum Sx5i with a view to potentially replacing my Kudos X2s. Only 24 hours in and they will, no doubt, improve but I have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed so far particularly given the price. Hi, I'm not sure if this should be in padded cell or here but I'm hoping someone out there has experience of a lightweight, compact speaker they can recommend which won't make my ears cry or cost me a packet at the check-in desk. If it's Bluetooth, fine but can cope with a wire. Budget expectations around £50-£100but not fixed. Sources mostly iPhones & iPads. Thanks in advance.

Currently I am using a DAC V1 with me 250dr rightly or wrongly I am itching to try a better pre amp but don't want to lose the asynchronous USB the V1 has on it really as it works well with audirvana. with that in mind I could use the fixed output on the V1 into a better pre amp. previously I have toyed with the idea of a 282 but right now, it's out of range. Quick question on the NDX automation function. I am currently connecting NDX's remote out 1 to 202 Preamp, so that I can control the volume from Naim app on ipad. Now, I would like to control 1) NDAC input 2) NAT 05 Tuner's(non XS version) preset channel function up and down from the Naim app on ipad. It that possible given there's only 1 more remote out 2 available on NDX? If yes, how could I connect them ? many thanks in advance.

I'm considering the purchase of a 2003 CDS3. I addressed to the seller, who is a hifi afficionado, the fact that the transit screws have to be fitted and that the unit has to be level when inserting them. Now he sends me pictures prior to shipping (on my request) with the screws for the mech in place but also pictures of the underside of the unit (with the unit standing on it's side) with and without the screws for the circuit board in place. I've just bought a nac 72 to go with my nap 140. It's never had any phono boards in it and the line boards have been removed. When I transferred my na322/4 boards into it and selected phono it makes popping noises through the speakers. Anybody got any ideas what the problem is? CD works fine through the Tuner stage btw. Hello. I have now purchased a NAP 100 to my DAC V1. Currently using a pair of Dali Zensor 1 bookshelf speakers. They are great for the price, but sounds a little thin and lacking bass. Which bookshelf speakers would you recommend? Imagine a budget of around £500, new or used. I've heard that Amphion, Audiovector and System Audio for example is a good match. Anything special that I should look for? Cheers

Curious to get opinions in the Bauer DPS turntable? How does it compare to the LP-12? I've read all of the reviews and posts online but I am curious to hear owners take on this design. Since the departure of my cd5x (very recent) my flatcap2x only does one thing and that's supplying power to the pre-amp section of my Nait XS. My Stageline is on the Aux2. Is there a way to connect the Flatcap so that one channel is used for the pre-amp of the Nait and the other is directly feeding the Stageline?? If so how would the connections be? It's the Stageline with only one DIn connection. Would this make sense or is it maybe better to sell the Flatcap together with the CD5x and get...

I have all olive system and Focal Electra 1038 be speakers. Have Flash remote - updated to latest chip some years ago. Has been working fine until last night. Screen became darker and writing was jumbled. i spent a good a couple hours auditioning speakers yesterday (PMC twenty5.23 and Neat Motive SX1). I used a verity of tracks that I know well, reflect the music I listen to, and would demonstrate what I wanted to hear from the speakers. hi everybody. I'm seriously evaluating of improving my Stageline N, now powered by aux 2 socket of SN2, adding an HCDR to it. Is the HCDR an appropriate upgrade for an entry level phono stage as Stageline? Any other phono stage would be suggested alternatively? thanks and regards, Stefano
