this is my current system..... N272-T Vertere HB ethernet cable 555PS-DR > powerline 300DR > powerline SL full loom Sopra No3 I was thinking of getting a NDX and using the 555PS-DR on it and then using my N272 as a pre-amp till I decide which one I was going to purchase, would you think it would sound the same or for the better than the current setup?

During a visit to the recent Bristol Show, I spent some time discussing Racks in the Quadraspire Demo Room. Speaking to the Quadraspire Designer, it was made very clear that using Bamboo was an extremely good material for a High end Rack, plus good isolation ect ect ect This was demonstrated very well as each rack in the Quadraspire range was used for their demo, all very impressive.......the X reference top of the range performed superbly...especially with the bronze upgrade. Hugo 2 just been announced, it now has 49,000 Taps and a 10 E pulse array DAC. Also interesting is that is had adjustable filter settings, with Hugo and Mojo voice of settings, very smart, a good upgrade path for Mojo owners. Hugo 2 is now chargeable by USB rather than wall wart. I wonder though how much better it sounds compared to Hugo..... Not sure it will be that much though.

Hi, Being relatively new to hi end audio I am quickly finding out about the weak link in system can be obsessive and expensive. I am debating on a TT upgrade. I have a Rega P5 with upgraded platter and sub platter, and would be appreciative of your opinions as to whether my system would support the upgrade to a sub $5K used turntable. Holla Any others experienced this - I've had a 250 for a number of years and it's handled several rocking parties with no issues. However I recently had the amp modded to DR. On Saturday night it went into thermal shut down. Are the DR's causing the amp to run hotter? TIA

Can I use the burndy from PS555 to CD555 to supply power a 272? or does it need the S-XPS burndy ? Not sure why there are 2 versions of this cable

Hello! My DAC-V1 is connected currently to PC using extremeley cheapish Belkin printer cable. I had luck to try Kubala-Sosna Temptation. Despite being very skeptic about USB connection importance - the SQ improvement was astonishing! Comparable going from Xonar STX internal sound card to DAC-V1. I was advised a year ago to use CY cable before installing my dedicate mains supply. All three cores are of the same dimension and are insulated. At 7.3mA/A/m for 6mm2 the resistance is low. Each conductor is multi-core. It is also screened and earthed at the CU end. Reading the post on this forum I see no mention of anything other than T&E or armour clad. It's cost is low relative to labour. Does anyone know of any reason not to use this cable?

I'm getting a bit frustrated at limited amount of RCA - Din cables available in my price point (sub 150 pounds used are fine), I know Naim and most forum members would advise against it but has anyone had any success with RCA - RCA plug interconnects. My question is this; is the 282 significantly better than a pots 8 82, both with NAPSC?

3-4 years in NAIM and first post here currently having cd5xs/nd5xs/ SN2, found a 2nd hand nDAC which cost less than £1,100. Very tempted to add one more box since the nDAC can benefit the cd5/ nd5 at the same time( both unit as transport) however, my consideration is, nDAC was released in around year 2000. Will it be a 2nd generation coming soon? Will it be too late to have one now? thanks for all input from you guys

Hi Mates, How should I add a subwoofer correctly to a 282 based system and what models should be taken into consideration ? Amplification is 282-SCDR-250DR and the current speaker is a pair of Harbeth C7-ES 3. While these Harbeths have very addictíve sound at middle and high frequencies imho its bass response could be a bit more fast and more tigth. What would you suggest ?

Sorry guys, although a Naimee for many years I simply don't know or forgot. The grey cable that came with my NAT05 tuner is a 5 pin cable but is this a SNAIC 5 or is that a different cable? I love my tuner and I listen to it A LOT. What is the upgrade path for the standard grey cable if any? Hi-Line?
