Hi all attended show... had a listen to Concept 500 speakers driven by DAVE driving NAP300 direct....was very disappointed speakers sounded slow with slightly disjointed and one note bass. I really thought this may sound special....

Do naim or linn dealers generally offer a post house move set up/ optimisation service? I have a possible house move coming up and the main speakers are Isobariks so they're heavy and picky about where they should go. Ideally I'd like a competent person to pack it all up and then a competent person to unpack and set up at the other end. It's all naim/old linn stuff. Are any of the house movers trustable with hifi equipment and now how to lift and pack speakers without caving the drive units...

Hi, I am in the market for a new N272 and NAP200DR. Now I also have the opportunity to buy a second hand NAC282, NDX and NAP200 (non DR). The price is a bit more then a new N272 / NAP200DR set. Hi, all. Experience Naim users please shed some light… 1. If the match pre-amp is NAC72 with HiCap, which power-amp, NAP140 or NAP180 is more expressive and gives better musical involvement? 2. Will bi-amp with two NAP140 (via HiCap) gives better sound than a single NAP180? 3. How to run bi-wire to the speakers when Naim amps have one set of output? 4. Hi, I am considering buying a N272 and NAP200. Currently, I have a Muso. In the past I was really in to HIFI separates (I used to own Marantz 17 series and later Quad 99 series). At a certain moment I lost interest in to HIFI separates, but not in music. But the Muso reminded me of how much I enjoy good sounding music. Hence, my consideration to buy Naim separates. My first thought was to wait for the Unity Nova. But I think going the separates route gives me more flexibility in the future...

As I upgraded my system from NaitXS to 252+300 unfortunately my RCA-DIN cable from Flashbacksales broke (again). After having a few mails going back and forth I decided to not have the cable repaired but take the plunge and upgrade the connection from Hugo to 252. Some of you may know I've recently bought the 250dr. Just seen the other day a photo of the powerline lite and I must say it looks exactly the same as the power cable that has come in the box of my 250dr. Has the same semi connected wobble on the plug, and says Naim on the lower part of the plug too. Can't seem to find anything concrete that says they come with it, the uniti products seem to have some information on them coming with the powerline lite though. Thoughts?

I am trying to update the firmware for my ndac. I have no idea what version it is. I followed the manual instruction by holding the dock button and turn it on. It flashes "4", "3", "3"". what does that mean and am I supposed to install the update files version 4.11.8 or (compatible with flac) one only or both ? many thanks. https://www.naimaudio.com/updates

Hi I know this is probably a subject that has been covered before but specifically what were the sonic differences between the two? My main source is vinyl and my Nap is 200, I'm not convinced upgrading to a 250 or 250.2 will bring much difference and a 250 DR is not a viable option this year at least (New Kitchen) so a used HiCap DR and non DR Olive SC are about the same price point so where would my hard won pennies be best spent?

Having just bought a Chord 2Qute, I'm running it in by playing ripped CDs through it. So far, it's had 100 hours of this process, & vocals still sound a bit 'lispy' (sibilant) so I guess it needs more time to run in fully. I listen to a mixture of rock, pop & classical. Was blown over by a 2Qute I borrowed for a week from my hi fi dealer, so I have some sort of reference for what to expect. Does anyone have experience reports of long running in times for the 2Qute? Hi there. I've recently purchased a NAIT 5i (non-italic) in great condition. It sounds amazing from the offset playing CDs, but everytime I connect a pair of interconnects to the Tape Out (to bi-amp the signal) I hear distortion coming from speakers connected to the NAIT. OK, it's only slight, but noticable enough and constant - the bass loses all control and the sound isn't pure at all - almost like it's a radio station slightly untuned. I have a Superuniti that I was very happy with until I heard a friends system that had a Chord 2Qute Dac in it. I'm wondering if I can connect one of these to my SU and bypass the internal DAC......and even if this would give a good upgrade in sound? Has anyone else done/heard this before?

Disaster has struck!! It appears my Dynavector DV20XH has a damaged cantilever - cause unknown, but operator error is the prime suspect (oh dear!). Replacement cost, even with trade in discount, may be prohibitive - any suggestions of less costly alternatives I may like? Has anyone had experience of moving from a standard Rega Couple 2 RCA to RCA interconnect between Naim pre amp and Rega Aria phono stage? If so what did you move to and what were the benefits if any? I'm thinking of trying either the Hiline RCA to Din to go from Aria to my N272 or, alternatively, one of Chord's offerings like the Shawline or, possibly, the signature. Does anyone use a processor with their Naim? I was thinking of buying a DSPeaker Antimode for room connection to use with my NaitXS and was looking for suggestion on how to set it up. I know I could use a 5 pin DIN to 4 RCAs cablesbut I'm unclear how this would work out and where to plug the processor in. I suppose another way would be to place the process in between the Naim and my high cap so it would be XS->DSPeaker->hicap->XS but I'd think I'd have to have special cables built...

I’ve been using the Superline as a replacement for the previous Stageline, since 2013. It has been always powered by either a Hicap or, since early 2015, a Supercap. The Supercap is the oldest black box I own and has recently been shipped back to the UK for a service and DR upgrade. This has given me the chance to hear it powered only via the 552.
