Hi I am thinking of upgrading from a Supernait 2 to an N272 but would need to sell the SN2 to cover some of the purchase. My long term aim is to partner it with a 250 DR but until more funds are available I wondered how it would sound with my CB 250 - it's a lovely original one and has had a recent service by Class A (it normally partners a 62/Hicap set up). Hi, I have a setup in which the central "hub" is an old NAIM nac92 and nap90. However, all the inputs are DIN. Can you recommend a very good short DIN to RCA adaptor? Preferably under £100. My second question is that for the tape output to work, it only works if I use a cheap DIN to RCA which has 4 rca outs (din on one side, 4 rca wires on the other side). Can someone recommend a higher end adaptor with 4 rca outs? Thanks in advance.

Is this preamp the weak link in the Naim line up? Ive recently purchased a used NDS and 555PS DR and initially have had them running with my Superuniti and 300dr into Ovator S400's. I have had the 252 and SupercapDr on home demo for a week and it hasn't excited me enough to even try and do a deal with my dealer when I returned them today. System sounds lovely as it is. If there is an area which I intend to improve, it would be the cable that connects the Chord QBD76 DAC to the NAC 282 which I suspect may be the weakest link at the moment (or not). A standard Flashback RCA to 5 pin DIN is currently in between the DAC and preamp. I was reading a review on the focal Aria 926's Speakers and it was claimed that they sounded better in black.....the black lacquer that is used helps the resonance, and helps in the overall performance ect ect I was somewhat disbelieving of this claim so checked this with the good people at Naim, the answer was ' it's a load of old nonsense' ...the colour of the speakers is immaterial. My system NAC 272 250 DR naca5 speaker wire and focal 1028be. Firstly due to wifely complaints my system is not best position however the amp makes a really loud hmm to the point you actually can not sit next to it I would guess about 45dB. Hi everyone, this is my first post on here for a long time. I have recently acquired a Nait 3r, which is not responding to the remote control. It appears that there has been a leaking battery in the remote control unit at some time in the past. Does anybody know whether an alternative or universal unit will work with the nait? Thanks Jim

In the old days, you could record for hours off of FM using a brilliant Revox or Tandberg, etc., at very high quality; and, if it was for personal replay, you could live it up. Got me a new Vandamme arm cable from Yannis Tome. I've installed it on my LP12/Ekos/Asaka connected to my NAC 72 with proper BNC plugs. Problem is I'm getting a huge amount of RF interference if I use the NA323K boards and not as pronounced with the NA323S ones but still there. This was not at all an issue with the original Linn arm cable using the same earthing arrangement and with any of the two above phono boards. Any ideas, please ??

As a new Naim owner, I just wanted to re-check that my UnitiQute is OK running at 46 degrees. Looking for some advice. I have a UNITI running some new PMC 25.21s (previously Spendor A5's). Considering upgrading from the UNITI and wondering if best to add a power amp to the UNITI or sell the UNITI. If looking to spend around £4K what's the best path? Pre DR, the black box amps had different enough Characteristics - where it was not just more of the same thing as you went up the chain.
