Hello ! interesting in upgrading nac a5 cable, i love it's punchy, natural sound,but found that my current amp (nait 5si) produce more details to PMC tewnty 22 and can sing tonally wider through chord epic twin, for example. But chord doesn't have punch\energy to make sound more realistic. Maybe someone have positive experience in upgrading nac a5 ? Thanks

Questions: Can the Flatcap 1 power both the CD3.5 and the Nait 5 per-amp? If so what cables are needed? Nait 5 to Flatcap 4 pin and 5 pin? CD3.5 to Flatcap 4 pin?

Hi All I would like some advice on the upgrade path for my system please. Current system is a Naim 272 Audiolab 8000p power amp, naca5 speaker cable ( in readynes for a naim amp), Kef 104.2 reference speakers. Naim fraim lite. Cheap QED rca between 272 and 8000p want to get a naim Amp probably 250 dr reading others posts ? Or would I go for a PS for the 272 first? Plus looking to add glass shelfs to the Naim Fraim lite with the Naim ball/ cup. Room is 5mx 3.7m solid floors, carpeted, sofas.

Its a LONG time since i have posted here. I have Old naim kit, Cds1, 72/hicap/140 driving Allaes. We love the system but its old, and i am shortly being moved by work to the far east and i dont want to send the CDS or my CD collection half way accross the world. So i am considering buying one of the new Uniti models. But, no one has them on demo yet, at least not near me. guys. hope you can help. i gave dac ,150 qwwx and flatcap. All the naim logos are at different brightness with 2 ire so amost dark. Is there a fix for this. Yes i know it's not a big problem bus cosmetically hmmm. thanks graham

Hi there. Currently enjoying my system which comprises of 272 - XPSDR - 250DR and Sondek LP12. The question I have though is in relation to the record replay system. I am finding myself listening more to vinyl and radio. Not so much streaming but this is capability I would not like to lose. Hi Folks, Not had any Naim gear for a while but I took delivery of a Unitilite yesterday. Found one on ex demo and couldn't resist as I had a pair of rega rs3 speakers hanging around. I hooked it up and put on Coltranes 'wise one' and was blown away. This is one lush box of tricks! Sounded pretty impressive just playing an mp3 off a memory stick too, which surprised me. I am looking at setting up a small headphone system using my iPhone 7 as a source for FLAC's and uncompressed Tidal streams. This will be completely independent of my big system. With the absence of the headphone jack the iPhone 7 now outputs a digital signal from the lighting port. In this scenario the quality of DAC is more important than ever. The headphone amplifier portion of the integrated DAC/amp then follows in order of importance. Does anyone have feedback about the Mojo vs. Hugo?

An email from a forum friend led to a few changes being made over the weekend. Well, more than a few, but the end result was a setup change - seems a little bit strange, TBH, but sounds good - probably better than the oft recommended brain/brawn split: 552 NDS --------------------------- Empty --------------------------- Empty 552 PSU (or NDS PSU - don't recall) ----------------------------- 250DR The other PSU ------------------------------------- Not sure how this would compare to the NDS...

Dear all, may I connect e.g. the digital output of the NDX to 2 DACs (say, Hugo and 2Qute) in parallel (using a BNC T-connector and branching out from this to the 2 DACS), or would I always have to unplug one DAC and plug-in the other DAC when making comparisons, please? The T-connector would be convenient, and I'm also curious if this works, but obviously I don't want to blow-up anything, thus most grateful for your advice! Many thanks, Stefan

I will buy a Uniti Nova soon and also some new speaker cable. I have the NAC A5 cable now connected to SuperUniti/Dynaudio 34 but the cable is very old and I think it is time to change it. Is NAC A5 still the best choice or? And the length must be at least 3,5 m? I seem to remember that sometime ago there the rumors of a new speaker cable?

Hi all, I'm on the waiting list for a Uniti Atom which I was intended to use as a dedicated system. I don't really want to wait until May so i'm now considering picking up a Unitilite and taking advantage of the AV Bypass functionality and connecting to my AV Receiver. So I have a couple of questions: 1) Do all unitilite models support tidal? I have seen one on eBay which is a 2014 model and i want to make sure it does support tidal. 2) Does anyone else take advantage of the AV bypass mode...

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to... run a DAC with volume controllable line level output direct into a power amp, or to use in the conventional way through a preamp. Hi everyone, First time posting and looking to get into the world of Naim! My first question is actually about a potential upgrade. I have a Naim 5i (non italic) available to me, but currently use a Cambridge CXA60. The CXA60 has an onboard Dac which is convenient, and has many inputs. However, I use an external DAC and only 2 of the inputs, so I don't take huge advantage of the features. It's 60w at 8ohms, and 80w at 4 ohm stable, which is versatile, but currently I'm using quite sensitive...

Or am I just being paranoid? Cranked it up LOUD couple of nights ago, and it now sounds slightly "tizzy" on HF... Not massive buzzing, doesn't sound like a Kazoo but my SBLs dont sound as sweet as they did, IMO. ( IME?) Aware it could be something vibrating with HF sound, but the obvious culprits have been looked at. I know if I'd totally blown the tweeters I'd hear nothing, but even so... HNY all, btw.

hi all, after bit of advice/opinion intending to have listening demo at some point soon of HiCap DR paired with SN2 (as noticed mixed opinion on this pairing on the forum) however opportunity arose for a pre-loved supercap DR at reasonable much reduced price.............so as now tempted am curious on peoples experiences when paired with a SN2 (also will not be able to listen/demo if do decide due to seller location, which i know isn't ideal) as ever input appreciated thanks

Given that the Chord Hugo seems to be universally loved, I'm wondering why nobody ever mentions many of their other products. The DSX 1000 streamer and SPM 650 power amplifier appear to be the equivalent of the 272/XPS/250 combination, yet I've never seen them mentioned here. There are a number of members using Devialet or Linn equipment, but few if any with Chord, other than their DACs. Are these products any good?
