Hello, I would like to experiment with an active speaker connected to my naim uniti. The problem now is the Din socket preamp out of the uniti. I cannot find an adapter to cinch female for it. Do such adapters exist? Or do I have to solder one myself? If the latter how does the pin layout look like from the din plug? As it is a first experiment I do not want to buy and solder a complete, long adapter cable, just a short one to connect a normal cinch cable to it. The only adapter I have found...

I recently bought a recently serviced NAP 180 which was shipped from Italy. The unit has all the necessary paperwork and is in very good shape, works OK too! The mains lead that was supplied is a genuine Naim item but has a two pin plug fitted. Would it be OK just to cut this off and fit a new MK plug? If so, is there a particular type (make) of fuse I should fit? Many thanks.

Today when I awoke the mute button on my NAC 202 was flashing (always leave unit powered on) and made everything inoperable (remote volume, etc). Manual suggested flashing source mute button indicates a power supply or link plug is incorrectly installed. How could this be? Turned on and off power strips and checked connections. Surprised when unplugging the mains input cord of the NAP 200 ONLY and replugging fixed it. What happened? Was this a fluke? A first in a decade.

Hi I'm looking for some new speakers for my secondary room. I've been showing many speakers to my wife, amongst them Titans, Ovators, PMC's, Proac Studio 140's - all negative comments. Has anyone run this combination? My NAIM dealer has recommended the Lehmann Black Cube over the Stageline. I already am using the flatcap to power my CD3.5 and am wondering about using it for the Stageline instead of going with the Black Cube. What is best? My turntable is a Rega P3-24 with Elys ii. I haven't been here for a while but had to tell someone about my home made Aro which I have just this morning got picking up. It has taken me over 2 years to get together but so far I'm happy with the results. Machining titanium alloy can be challenging and I have probably gone over the top with the number of titanium parts. I have never heard a Naim Aro but have long been intrigued by the design. I've just bought myself a stageline to add to my system, my previous phono pre-amp having given up the ghost. how do I connect it to my system? I have a hicap with a 5pin and four 4pin sockets. I have the 16 pin black burndy that came with the supercap DR. I used to use it with the snaxo 242. Could I use this burndy to connect the supercap DR to my Naim 52, as my 52PS is in need of recap. The pin number seems right, but the configuration? Thomas Wong

I know that you are not supposed to turn the Naim gear off to keep them warm and not affect sq. Does this include all Naim gear or mainly the amplification? What about the N-sub and flatcap? Is it in any way harmful for the gear if you regularly turn it on/off?

Maybe the majority of the brand's lovers is using the Naim Dac hoping to have the same balance, but I wonder I many are experiencing other brands. I have a Teac UD 501 - which is ok but sometimes has too much of a soft presentation - but I intend to "jump" to a much more sofisticated Chord QDB 76 Dac (used of corse).
