Is there any reason a nac12 shouldn't work with a nap180. I can't get any sound out of it, just a loud hiss. The nac12 worked fine with my old nap160 and 140.

If one is using two Hi Caps with an 82 (as I am) why do they have to be of similar vintage - mine are about 5 years apart (both olive) - would it be better if they were nearer in age?Surely they should be similar in performance?
