Hi all, after only ten days hearing my new NDS/555DR-combo I am not so happy with it. I installed now again my Ndac and hear the nds through the digital out - and find the sound with the Ndac more enjoyable: warmer, fuller, not harsh in the hights like the nds sometimes seems to be in my setting to my ears. given the opportunity I was thinking of going down this route I have not demoed the NAP 500 on my Sopra 3's yet, but was considering of doing the straight trade from my new NAP 300DR to an older NAP 500. Any pass NAP 300 to NAP 500 owners would do the same without auditioning since everyone seems to think the NAP 500 walks on all the rest of Naim's amp lineup.

I went to plug my headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the front of my 5i-2 and no sound...daa..ipod dock only. So now I have headphones into tape out on the rear and bingo...sound. The question is: How do I raise the volume?. It is quite low. Do i need to plug headphones into a small headphone amp and then into tape out?

Curious which SL cables would I need for a full loom setup. I am running a DAC-V1 with a NAC552.DR and NAP300.DR with speaker SL cables.. I have a quandary wrt my Focal Electra 1038be's support situation - system: all olive cds2, 01, 52,135s all on Fraim, powerlined in very large room with 16 ft cathedral ceiling with hardwood oak floor built over cement. Just had new ceiling put in to replace "popcorn" 1970s thin plaster board with thicker sheet rock - while room was worked on I had to move all furniture out including my hifi. Prior to the ceiling upgrade I had my fraim and the Focal speakers with spikes onto naim chips.

I have a desktop system comprised of the V1/100/Rega Apollo-R. It would be nice for the sake of aesthetics (and performance) to have a stand/rack to put them on that is sized for shoebox chassis. Currently the components are just stacked on top of each other. A quick web search for a shoebox-sized rack didn't yield much. Anyone know of any good ideas?

I am in the process of trading in my 202 for a 282 with James at Tom Tom, the 282 is an older model 2003 I believe. I already have a recently serviced CB HiCap that has been powering my 202 and wanted advice on wether I should upgrade my ND5 XS to an NDX first, add another CB HiCap, a HiCap DR or an older SuperCap cost as always is an issue. Hi all, I've been getting back into vinyl. I'm not gonna get into the argument about what is better. Anyway, I have Tbh, I can't afford a lot and ld really like a new Planar 3, to replace my circa 1988 model. However, my funds wont quite run to Planar 3, but I could just strech to a Planar 2 with a performance pack. I'm assured both are an improvement on an ageing Planar 3. Does anyone have any experience with the latest Planar 2? It'll be used with an Unitilite and a Rega mini phono? Thanks.
