Currently got cd2/82/hi-cap/180 driving Shahinian Arc's.As I am in upgrade mode, was wondering what your views were on using the 250 with the Arc's. I get the impression that a lot of you don't like it that much compared with the 180 or 135's. It's...
I refer of course to my recent purchase of the Hi-fi News Test Record! I honestly could not get any sense out of the thing! The channel test was fine but the bias was just plain annoying. No matter what I did the sound hardly seemed to change and even...
I am looking for suggestions on how to mount or store my prefix. I have a P9 and plan to have an ARO connector fixed to the arm cables. The prefix comes with an ARO connection. This gives me the flexibility of changing the prefix if needed with a...
Dear All, Please could someone tell me whether the Lp12 works well on the quadraspire reference? Is it 'safe' to put an LP12 on a wobbly top? Many thanks David

Hi Folks,Is there any data around about recommended matching between Naim phono boards (in particular "S" and "K" types) and cartridge brands/models?I currently have an S-type prefix and I am wondering if and how this restricts my choices for a new...
I've searched the forum archive, and couldn't find an answer to this, so here goes:I read in the old Naim manual that it's possible to drive high impedance headphones direct from the pre-amp (well, the signal connection on the PSU, really). It gives...
Hi All!First I thought only the knob position is wrong, the hole in the knob not being in place to show the little green bugger. After an exhausting search through all my drawers the tiniest optometrist's screwdriver I have did the job, got the knob...

We all talk of expensive upgrades and al the rest of it,but it was posted on the forum a few months ago that the cheapestupgrade is a good bottle of red wine, it realy does intensify the music for some reason, you should all try it, and report back to...
Several forum members gave me helpful advice a few weeks ago on fixing the front bass driver of older Sara speakers -- thanks. Here's an update of what I did that may be of interest to other Sara owners.I contacted Wilmslow Audio who suggested...
I listen mostly to acoustic music and the Tukans are perfoming great and I don't need to change them.My buddy Svelte Dave suggested that I give the Intros a try. I have heard that Naim speakers need to be placed against a wall but my setup has 3...
I was over at a friend's place yesterday. He has just put CDS2 - 52 - 135's into NBL's on Fraim. The upgrade CANNOT be replicated for the cost in any other way. It's that simple and ergo, good v.f.m.Strange but true.
I'm currently trying a NAP500 and don't get any sound, on either CD or vinyl. Nightime now, so no dealer help. So I disconnected it and put back my 135s, still no sound as well. All lights are up ... no problems with speakers as my receiver can...

Well lads, as you may have noticed, Tony Lonorgan has stopped posting on this forum since 17:07 yesterday evening. This event seems to have coincided with his experimentation of adding a pair of IBLs (and possibly NEATs) into his system. The nation...
