Hi AllHave now moved into my new house, and need help with the new musci room - it is 4.5 x 3.5 by 2.5 metres tall, walls, floor and ceiling are all solid concrete, and speakers will fire across the 3.5 metre width. It is currently a shell - what...

Does anyone have any experience/advice on the upgrade from the on-board phono boards(K-type) in the 52/supercap to a K-type Prefix ? I plan initially to power the Prefix from the 52, and then get a Hi-Cap later. (Cartridge is Lyra Helikon)

I see that Russ Andrews has branched out into DIN to DIN interconnects, specifically aimed at Naim systems. I have used the hybrid 'Silver Streak' between my Kairn and 250 (XLR to Phonos) with impressive results - has anyone tried the DIN -DIN connectors?

Did the 250 to 500 and SBL to NBL dem today with mixed views. Each upgrade saw significant improvements (although the former showed the SBLs limitation and the latter the 250s, but not totally convinced by the 500/NBL combination (perhaps a bit too...

In the post (warming up the CDX) Chris Metcalf said he was using the 'classic' Kimber mains cable to power his player. Now I,m wondering what was wrong with the cable supplied. What are the sound improvements of using an alternative mains cable?I have...

I have read with much interest the thread concering an XPS or 82. As I am a step behind the originator of that post, I have the following question: If I can afford a CDX or an 82, what is the better alternative for me? I can't afford both.Current...

I've read lots from this forum and was bothered thinking I didn't have the best sound from my Spendor 2/3 speakers. Read about Mana Bases at $350 and spikes at a bit less. Then my dealer suggested #10 Phillips screws in the place where the QS&D spikes were. All of $2. Not easy to set thestands up on those small puppies hidden in the gray carpet. WOW!!!!!!! What a difference they made! They opened up and actually became more forward and all those other geeky things I read that you guys write...

A 5-pin cable is used to supply power from the Super-Cap to the 52, and it seems to be the same cable as the one used with a Hi-Cap. Based upon murmurs on the Mana forum regarding JW's modified 52 and its external power supply for the digital...

...no I didn't mean the Armageddon is so good I'm tripping out. Rather, approx 50% of the times I choose to switch it on, it trips my fuse-box. Tends to do it when I've been using the rest of the system with the CD source for a while, and then decide...

I read a hi-fi magazine once. It said that I'd get a much better sound per pound if I bought separates instead of a system made by a single manufacturer. I went off and bought an all Naim system but different speakers since Naim didn't make any at the...

I am looking for a replacement for my Audio Technica ATOC7.Since the Xerxes/Artemiz can be a bit lean in the bass, my tendency is to go for a fuller sounding cartridge. My first thoughts were the Dynavector DV17Mk2 or at a stretch the XX-2, but I am...
