Hi All, I have been running my system and speakers from new now for a year, I bought Chord Signature Array cables ect as well. I have read here and elsewhere that the sound will finally snap into focus after burn in ect, but I really didn't know what to expect. At first the sound was flat and dull, then sharp and bright. I played around with everything and waited, then a couple of months ago I sat down to play a cd, and I instantly heard a sound that was taught, sharp and crystal clear!

Just seen an article on " Korg DS-DAC-10R " most of which I really have to admit to not understanding. It does not appear to be readily available, but I am sure there are other gadgets out there ?! Hi, just thought I would share an interesting finding. I have a fraim base which I guess is a start to better things, anyway I'm using it under my SuperCap (just because it works out for my set up). Ive been playing around with the spikes on the second level and have discovered that in my room which has a suspended wooden floor, 2 sets of "long spikes" on both levels sound rather better than the long spikes on bottom and cone spikes on secound level like it was designed . I recently took delivery of a new NAC 282 and HiCap DR combo which has made a wonderfully dramatic and musical upgrade to my previous Nait XS2 used in pre-amp mode into a NAP 200. The question I have is does the 282 sound it's best with one HCDR or two? I've read many of the 282 postings here and both options have been mentioned but I don't know if the issue has been addressed specifically. Unfortunately a SuperCap is out of reach at present. Has anyone here previously on the NAC 282 / HCDR / NAP 200 upgraded to the NAP 250 DR (brand new)? I would like to know the perceived changes you have experienced with the 250 DR when the unit is going through the burn-in process. I imagine the sales of the CD 555 will progressively go down as other and better digital sources emerge. Many of us have the 555 PS for other devices, some with two, meaning there's a wasted digital power supply in the 555 PS (for most people at least). This means that 'part' can be taken out, the space allowing more vibration control and a bigger transformer maybe. So do you foresee Naim refininh the 555 PS (DR) for this reason?

Many months ago I posted a subject entitled 'Wow' moments. This was about up-grades in your system which made you say 'wow'!! I had many replies. Well the time has come to repeat this post. I have replaced my Hi line between CDS3 and 555ps with a Super Lumina 5 pin to 5 pin interconnect. The result was-WOW!!! Have you had a similar 'wow' moment with this up-grade?? I purchased a demo Unitiqute V1 from my dealer roughly a year ago and used it in my home system as a source. I brought it to my office today to try it out with speakers for the first time. I am only getting sound from one channel. Ordinarily I'd be calling the dealer right away (I had a similar problem with my Nait 5 in the winter) but I'm wondering with all the electronics built into the Qute if it's something I can fiddle with in the settings? Thanks in advance for any input or advice!

I just saw NAC 62 / NAP 90 / NAP 140 ( 2 of them ) for sale.... it is a very rare event in Turkey. Nac62 have a green logo on the middle, others are white logo on corner, are they from different centuries? Victorian vs Roman Britain ? :) I may think of a second system and add a source/speakers and have a nice little cool looking system like some of you guys, i have my A5s ready..... Any advice of combining NAC 62 with NAP? NAP 90 or NAP 140 ? Or use 140s as mono? What should i look for...

Hello all and fellow DAC-V1 owners! I have a quick question which I was hoping someone could kindly help with on my DAC-V1. I thought I would use it as separate dedicated DAC with my Rega Apollo-R CD player as the transport, and the display on the DAC-V1 is giving a 'Cannot Reclock' message. I tried this with what I assumed was a lesser CD player (Sony DVP-S7700) and using the same high quality Transparent 75 Ohm coax cable to the DAC-V1 S/PDIF input, I don't get the same error message?! Hi all, New to the forum but have had Naim gear for 10 years. System comprises of 122x, 150x, cd5x, fc2, headline2, napsc, Michell TecnoDec, Pro-Ject phonobox SE and Dynaudio Focus 110 speakers. Obviously not for sources and interconnects, but for amps and speaker cables. A forum member recently mentioned, on another thread, that he is running his new 250 DR at very low volume. I'm currently running in the DR upgrade on my 300 and had assumed that I should have the volume as loud as reasonable and practical. Any thoughts? Keith

I just upgraded my Muso to the new software/firmware this weekend. Tonight, for the third time so far, the Muso switches itself to Bluetooth. We keep it set to Digital because that is where the TV goes. We are nowhere near the remote. Has this happened to anybody else? What could be the cause?
