I have 140 Hi-Cap 72. I am moving to the US from Austria in 2 months and want to know whether or not I can use a step up transformer (110-230V) in the states to power my system or do I need to have modifications made to the 140 hi-Cap?

I just wondered where the vinylphiles here get their new LP's? And if anyone had recommendations of places to get new vinyl on the net or by mail order (I know about Vivante, but anywhere else)?CheersChris L (enjoying his recently acquired LP12!)

I bought this CD with some considerable scepticism - how can three minutes of horrible noises across the entire audio bandwidth make your system sound better? I thought. Well, it was only a tenner, so I thought I'd give it a go. It actually works! I...

I was wondering whether all the power cables for Naim's later components are the same. My CDX and Super-Cap have the same type of power cable, but the one for the XPS is fatter. All of these components' serial numbers are in the 150-160000 range.BTW,...

In a previous life I was a bass-player (well I still am, but I used to get paid for it). At the time a company called Trace Elliot ruled the world of bass amplification with their clean, fast, punchy solid-state amps. At a big conference I asked the...

Hi folks.I'm looking for a reliable and fairly inexpensive source for decent, lined inner sleeves for LPs - I prefer lined sleeves, but will put up with those semi-circular nagaoki(?) plastic sleeves (as they seem to be good aside from being a right...

I've done some searching on the forum.Basically the "rules" seem to be ...Keep Power and signal cables seperate.Cross cables at right angles if necessary to reduce interference.Let signal cables "hang" in free air as opposed to zip tying.Use bubble...

Hi folks. Is it me, or is the Nait-2 a bit enthusiastic on the old gain control? I mean, with vinyl it's OK, but the gain whilst using CD seems to be a bit on the high side (i.e. usable volumes seem to be around the 7- to 8-o'clock settings, beyond...

I'm decorating most of the house at once, which has involved moving a lot of music hardware and software about. As I was "storing" about a hundred 7 inch reels of 1/4 inch TDK tape in a bin bag, I realised that even the most Luddite of us gives in to...
