So I called for a tour of the factory. Was coming to Salisbury anyway and asked an "experience" support person for a tour, or even a little time just to check it out in the lobby... Note... Im from the States so getting to the factory is NOT easy. I was told it had to be a group tour set up by my dealer... My dealer in the States really doesnt set up factory tours... I mentioned this to the Naim rep. OK so my $170,000USD 500 series active system or even if I had a muso... doesn't warrant a...

Hey guys I'm trying to get used to this but it's proving to be a challenge The DR seems to clean everything up, lowers noise, makes things sound "nicer". Less racket in the mid band etc... But somehow robs me of the drama and excitement I'm used to from Naim. It sounds lovely and civilised but bores me. More pretty sounding hifi equipment. I must be listening to it wrong or something.. Perplexed, Mark Moderated post: Mark, to comply with forum rules I've made a small edit.

Can anyone advise on the burn-in period for the NAP 250 DR? For those who have replaced the NAP 200 or NAP 250 with a fresh or brand new NAP 250 DR, do you perceive an instant change in sound quality? Do users need to wait for weeks or months to fully appreciate the benefits of a "burned-in" unit?

Hi all, This is my first post here :) I have Naim SuperUniti, and Sonus Faber Venere Signature speakers. Today I got NAP 250DR for testing. I bi-amped those two. I tried all possible combinations ;), and actually, I feel there is a quite of improvement. The best result I have when SU is connected to Treble and NAP to Bass connectors of the speakers. Any experience with this combo, thoughts, suggestions,... Cheers :)

I apologise if this has been posted before but I am looking for some suggestions. I am looking to build a Naim steaming system and have a budget up to a maximum of £10k. I already have Spendor A6 speakers which I’m happy to keep, but need speaker cable and hopefully a good Hifi rack to house it all. From some research I have come up with either NAC-N 272 / NAP 250 at around £7300, or ND5 XS / NAC 202 / NAP 250 / HiCap at around £9500. Would you recommend either of them or suggest any other...

I have an active setup with 4 runs of A5 approx 10 metres each, the cable currently runs (unattractively) round the living room, mostly coiled up behind the TV We are refurbishing and I'm being "forced" to run the cable under the house. I'm thinking of cutting the cable and putting it through some sort of piping or flexible conduit with two pipes and two cables in each. Does this sound like a reasonable idea? Anyone else done this, what size piping did you go with? Anything I should look out...

Just replaced the 4 pin din connecting my 52PS to the SNAXO with an SL version. Blimey it is good. Been struggling over the weekend to describe what it does because it just does everything that bit better. Cleaner, faster, more natural, more dynamic. it just sounds more alive-even a low volumes. I cannot hear a single downside. Flipping good value if you have an active system. Possibly an even bigger step in my system than switching the interconnect to SL. Bruce

Would appreciate if someone can advise whether the NAP 250 DR can be disconnected from the system without switching off the HCDR (the NAC 282 will be on since it is powered up by the HCDR). That means I will unplug the cables from the NAC 282 with the amp switched on. I want to swap between the NAP 200 and NAP 250 DR at this moment. Any advice would be appreciated.

ive seen several pics of people using these. I have 2 to put up on my back wall. Just curious what you used to hang them. Did you glue them or did you use another method?

Is it Possible to have sound coming from TV to Nsats through Uniti, as I haven't got a clue how to connect

I'm considering upgrading to the 272 and have a question concerning the resolution of the volume control at low settings. I know the channel tracking should be good, the question is how fine is the control at the low end of the volume control, i.e how small are the steps in volume compared to the remote control steps in an XS 2, an SN or a 202.

My dealer is offering a Demo pair of Davone Grande speakers at a very attractive price to replace my ten year old DeVore Silverbacks. I will be powering them with a NAP200 - any input from anyone?

Its been quite a while since I last used CD player, tried playing one just show loading, any ideas? Thank you

I have this Nac 62 and wonder if this little foam piece under the motherboard is an original part or some kind of modification? It seems to be glued to the case so I could not try it without.

G'day fellow Naim nutters : ) I could ask my HIFI Dealer though I did not wish to bother him as I am not ready to purchase at the moment. There might be a purchase towards the end of this year. I assume the normal way to go with my Nait XS 2 would be to replace the Marantz CD-85 with a Naim CD5 XS. Then add a Naim FM Tuner, the Nait 05 XS or ND5 XS ( I am still unsure about streamers). Next would be to add a power supply, possibly the Naim FlatCap XS. This seems pretty straight forward. My...

Hi there, I'm experiencing performance issues when I connect my new DAC v1 to my laptop via USB -- some advice would be hugely appreciated. Im current using a 1m USB cable and Foobar / JRiver / YouTube to play music. At some point during playback, sound will intermittently cut out from my headphones (plugged into DAC) and start playing through my laptop speakers. This happens back-and-forth, eventually followed by the media player crashing. I sometimes then get a message stating the USB...

I have a 32.5 with the older hand drawn motherboard. Would a 32.5 with the CAD MB have any sonic difference? Which is better? I heard the hand drawn ones are softer sounding.

Most of my listening is through headphones these days - I have a Naim 82 and Supercap, an NH2 headphone amp powered by a HiCap. The primary source is an LP 12, Keel, Lingo, Ekos and DV xx2. 'phones are Sennheiser 650s. I don't have a dedicated rack for the electronics but I've tried to keep them apart from each other - though there is one 'stack' comprising: 82/Supercap and lowermost an unused 180 power amp. Recently I tried re ordering the 'stack' so that the 180 was between the pre amp and...

Why is the nac112 slated so much in a kind of pyas way on these forums..Its like a race to see who has the most expensive kit..I have the 112x and the 150x..They sound rythmically bang on with all kinds of music...Great bang for the "buck" as stated in many reviews..If it was rubbish surely Naim would not have produced it..???.My speakers sound fast and immersive...Rega mk 1 Ela.. I stream most of my music using a DAC from my computer...Iam sorry am I missing something..???

I just figured out the NAPSC that was bundled with my NAC 202 is different from the one that came with the NAC 282. Picture as below. The NAPSC on the left came with the NAC 202. I presume this one is the older NAPSC. The one on the right came with the NAC 282. I presume this one is the NAPSC 2. Question. The NAPSC on the left, is this supposed to come with the NAC 202? Or it's meant for the older Olive or Chrome Bumper preamps? Any information would be appreciated.
