My upgraded amp was installed last night and so far I'm hearing astonishing speed, lower noise floor, more detail and improved imaging. I'm told by the dealer to keep it running all the time and that run-in takes about a month, but I've read a link to a (Hifi Critic) review on the main website which suggests run-in takes 3 months for a new amp. I'm wondering what others here have experienced after the DR upgrades. How long does it take, is it a smooth or bumpy ride and what improvements did...

Recently acquired a lovely Naim Nait 3. This example was serviced by 'Class A' in 2013. Excellent , musically, and communicative sound! I'm hearing some annoying noises coming through the speakers. The best possible way for me to describe it. It's like a 'popping' noise, similar to what you hear from a vinyl LP. The popping noise happens pretty much at random times. I have been without a system for a while now. I have done some auditioning and listened to the Uniti2, the SuperUniti and a ND5 XS and Nait XS2. It was clear that there was an increase in quality with each step up. I think the ND5 XS and the XS 2 performed best at lowish volumes, which is important to me. I am not sure about speakers though, I listened with B and W CM5 S2 and the CM8 S2 and the Iota Motive SX2. The B and Ws sounded great in the shop but I think will overwhelm a smallish...

have a Rega radio 3 in my system, I often think of getting something loke a 2nd hand Nat02 (there was 1 for sale the other week), but I'm concerned about the threat of DAB switchover, and FM signal switch off. Hello, I’m about to purchase a used Naim nDAC. Unfortunately I won’t be able to give it a try. I essentially listen to classical (baroque) music. Voices, cello, harpsichord, piano. I like details, being able to distinguish instruments recognize voices. Before buying, I would appreciate some these two questions : A - How would you describe the nDAC sound comparing to CDX2 ? and B - How would you describe the nDAC sound comparing to DAC-V1 ? I want to buy a phono stage, was thinking that the new Rega Aria might be a good buy, but am now thinking the Moon 310LP is the way to go. Before I hear forum jeers, let me explain my scenario! I am presently listening to my A&K 240 through AKG 3003i earphones and its 24bit 96kHz Bob Dylan's 'Man in the Long Black Cloak'. Thinking of upgrading the Rega Exact and have been offered suggestions of Lyra Delos, AT Art9 and Dynavector xx2. I've done extensive research on the forum but still find it hard to pull the trigger on a possible upgrade from a flatcapped CD5X to a CDS2-XPS combo. i won't bore you all with my findings with cables, doing a big "shot out" 4 years ago, ending up with Chord Sarum. Have tried Super Lumina after that, a side step but not an upgrade to these ears. Tuned Aray become Super Aray, an evolution but not more then that. With my 500-Titans-Melco-Sonority system, upgrades now are serious expensive. Of course it's fantastic as it is, but what if you want more performance? Two 500 instead of one? S1 instead of 552? Full Statement instead of 552-500?
