Hi to all. Today I was browsing through configuration menus of my superuniti and I discover that in "factory setting" menu the internal temperature of the system is displayed. Hello, Early in the year my CDS3 started getting glitchy. Skipping, a noisy motor, wheezy servos, sometimes missing tracks, sometimes just refusing to play discs at all. I've owned it for two and a bit years, bought used from a Naim dealer. It got progressively worse, so my local dealer sent it off to Naim at the beginning of April. i haven't thought the maths through in detail, but if the sound improvement was commensurate to the price increase, that is, it was reversed somewhat... Example: NAC 102 to NAC 202 high, NAC 552 to Statement low... What would your present Naim system be?

My current system is NAC N272 with XPS (no DR) feeding into NAP 250 (non DR) and PMC 23. I will, when funds allow, service and upgrade both XPS and NAP 250 to DR, but can only afford to one now with the other at least 6 months away. Logic tells me to go for XPS DR first. However, I have not heard a NAP 250 DR, but have read in reviews and here about what an amazing transformation DR is for the NAP 250. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Jin

NAC 42 has a 5 pin output to hicap... Snaps has a 4 pin input from preamplifier. Do I need a 5 pin to 4 pin Snaic cable?

don't know whether this belongs here -- but here we go anyhow. in an idle moment -- i started wondering what name i would choose if i was ever in a position to rename the NAP500. Demonstrating my total lack of creativity, i could only come up with 'Thunder'. somehow, i think there would be no need to rename the 'Nait' -- very apt 'name' -- so perhaps left as is. but perhaps 'Spring' for the NAP300? oh dear... just for fun, i would be interested in what alternative name(s) you would choose...

I know I've been a bit lazy ... I've just popped banana plugs at end end of my nana to use with my nap200 and Ovator 400. Is it really worth using the naim plugs at either end and why? thanks

Hi having recently added a 555ps to a 272 and having amazing results....and knowing the DR regulators influence sound quality dramatically ..... I think naim should now bring out a top end battery psu....a two box unit.....box 1 charging psu and box 2 battery supply ...... name? Statement PS....any thoughts....

A couple of months ago it became clear that my system was not all that it should be. With hindsight there had been a gradual going downhill up to the point where it fell off a cliff. First indications were a “meh” performance and then a significant increase in surface noise. Hi to all. I bougth a BW P7 headphones. Their sound is simply great (I know that there are better options but not closed like this). I also buy the original 5 m plug. It is nice not to need extra plugs/cables to reach my sofa. I have the SU under the TV and a quite hidden/difficult to reach. I am thinking on using a DAC/HeadP amp next to my sofa connected via a coax. cable from the SU to the DAC. The instalation cable length will be about 7 meters. Any ideas/sugestion for this...

Hi, inserting a CD into my UNITI, I just see the msg NO CD on the display. I've tried to use different CDs but the result is always the same, I guess that the mech have failed. I will send it to my dealer as naim suport suggests. I'm just asking if somebody ran into a similar problem and how it was fixed

Hi all, i have just ( this afternoon) acquired a very cute little NAC42 for a second system..absolutely immaculate cosmetically, to go with a NAP110/140 when I eventually buy one. i hooked it up to my NAP200 in place of my NAC202 to see A. Whether it works, and B. How it sounds. Well, after fiddling around, I seem to have an issue. I only seem to be getting sound from one channel when the toggle switch is on 'normal' but I get both channels when the switch is on 'monitor'. Is this normal?

I've been scared off changing from 200/202 to 250 DR/202 as nobody on here thinks it's a good idea. I weally, weally want a 250 DR but don't want a 282 so, how does 272/250 DR stack up ? Pre and power almost same price has a certain appeal and I can get decent trade-in on 200/202. I also have CD5XS/DAC/HCDR/NAPSC, thanks

A worthwhile upgrade? Anyone with direct experience? Or should I be aiming for a 555-DR? Maybe both of the above are irrelevant until after a pre-amp upgrade from 202/200/HiCap/NAPSC ? In the very distant future I'd like to get to 252 level, so less inclined to consider changing my pre-amp for a 282 at present. Just wishful thinking on a Sunday morning!

I have a 200 (non-DR) / HCDR / NAPSC and have ruled out going to 200 DR as I have HCDR. But what about dropping in 250 DR for 200 which I understand can be a straight swap? My immediate thoughts are then 202 will be letting the side down but the 252 is a non-starter. Anyone care to bring me back down to earth?

Just got myself a preloved LP12 w the Naim Aro (w Rubikon and the tiger sKale) Can I check if the Aro comes an azimuth nut. I can't find the azimuth nut (if there is supposed to be one) on mine. Also when mounted with a dynavector 20x2, it seems that the antiskate is off even when the bias weight is placed on the outer most ring on the antiskate shaft. Had to use a bit of blutack to add some weight to the bias weight. Is there a heavier bias weight or some other way around it other than...
