Previously i had a gap between the XPS2, on the bottom shelf and the SN2, but the CDS3 head unit sat on the next level above the amp, being the top level. Having a spare Fraim shelf in the loft, i decided to put the CDS3 head unit one level up with glass it situ on spare levels. Hi have taken the fronts off my Credos. To my absolute horror, I have Somehow now got the dome on one the tweeters pushed in, (small fingers perhaps) Its been a couple of years since I last took the fronts off, and have noticed no difference. I am about to have my CDS serviced and the capacitors changed.. Should I change the tweeter, 1 or both? What are they and can you still get them? cheers Mike.

Has anyone had the chance to own both of these pre-amps? I really want to get a new streamer, but not sure if I should be looking at a stand alone one, or, save some cash and trade my 202 on a 272. I don't want to lose any pre performance though. Will the 272 perform as good as the 202 on the pre side of things? I love the nice punchy bass I get from my 202, I don't want to lose that the most :D

The S'Cap powering my SuperLine has just returned from a (Naim) service. Does just leaving the unit powered on provide the necessary running in? And what is a reasonable time to expect the unit to run in? A weekend of dullness has left me so deflated that I can barely even think of getting a record out of the cabinet.

Whilst rummaging around in the attic like you do, I came across a set of phono cables, which are unused and brand knew. However the original packaging box is gone so I dont know anything about these cables. Other than they must be around 12 -15 years old. They are marked with the name Neutrik Profi. Just wondering if they would be good enough to connect up next month to a Chord 2Qute Dac I am thinking of buying. Can anyone shed any light on this make of cable.

Hi, I've had my Nait CD 5Si since 2013 and this is the second time it's been with Creative Audio for the transport sorting out in the last six months. Has anyone else had similar trouble with skipping and jumping and generally sounding like a bag of spanners when you turn it on and the transport fires up. Cheesed off to say the least. Hi All I very recently purchased a Naim NAC272, DR250 power amp and focal 1028be speakers using QED silver anniversary speaker wire, i only listen to streamed music. I am looking for my next upgrade path as soon as I get a fourth job to pay for it. Power supply, different speaker wire or perish the thought a different source? My present system consists of NAC52, 52PS, NAP135s, Shahinian Obelisks (Mk 1), fronted by a Well Tempered Versalex and a Dyna 17D3. The cart is a tad over 3 years old and is likely to need replacing quite soon. Hi All - just acquired a second hand Powerline for a reasonable price, so contemplating where it will give the most benefits in my system : 282/HCDR/250.2/ND5XS/NAPSC, I appreciate that "try it out and Listen" might be the best answer, but any general recommendations (source, Power or PSU) would be appreciated. Rest of system is (for the time being) stock cables and IC with Audiovector Zero Avantgarde speaker cables.

I had the chance to hear the Etna SL yesterday when I popped into my dealer, Accent on Music. They had just installed the SL to check it out prior to taking it to a lucky customer in the Midwest later this month. While $10k cartridges are far beyond my price range I am glad I had the chance to hear it. Truly amazing. Tremendous drive, detail and a gorgeous midrange. So much for the law of diminishing returns. Picked up one of these for a song (BNC-BNC) for an experiment between the NDX & NDAC:555PS. It has been in place a week now and all I can say is what a significant upgrade it is over the DC1. The slight hardness has gone with everything sounding more 'natural'...real, if you like. The music is presented more believably with subtle details and cues more evident...It almost feels like a box upgrade, it's that good. If you can hunt one down (I paid £299) I'd say it is well worth a try. G

Hi The USB function on my Unitilite works intermittently. If I don't play music via the USB port for a while it stops working - this to be particularly the case when I change USB sticks. The machine recognises the USB, the list of tracks appears in the display but then all I get is the 'loading...' message when I hit 'play'. If I turn the machine off then on again using the power switch it will work fine. Any suggestions? Pete

Considering both amps and recently heard the 250 DR together with the NAC N 272 on the same speakers as I own (Audiovector SR3 Avantgarde Arrete)... Great sounding! Would highly appreciate if anybody has done an A/B test on these two amps and can comment on which of the two is the most warm sounding?
