I recently bought a CB red light Nait 1 amp. (Loving it but not sure my revolver RW33s are quite right for it) I just wondered what is driving the seemingly huge increase in the price of these? There's someone on an auction site asking £899 for one! When you read posts in some forums from only a few years ago, £300 was seen as a ridiculous price.

Hi, Premature failure of the captive cable entering an earcup on my Beyerdynamic T50p headphones has prompted me to look at new cans for mobile use (I have a fairly lengthy commute by public transport). Hi, I just wanted to find out if anybody had tried any of the current hi-res portable audio players connected to a Muso? Is there a significant improvement in sound over an iPod? Dear Forumites For space saving reasons I need to stack my main system on one rack. Current sequence is (from top to bottom): NDS > 252 > 555PSDR > SCDR > 250DR This causes one 'problem': 252 burndy practically lies on the floor, which is far from ideal. Quite a bit better actually... A recent purchase of a nice CB 250, Naim full service 3 years ago, intitially for a second system with Kans, had me try it on my SN2. I certainly considered the SN2 a very complete unit and not worth messing with. The urge got the better of me and i thought why not give it a try. I'm trialling a Mirus dac fed by my NDX/NAS. Dac signal by RCA to din on 252. I keep getting momentary 'drop-outs'. Mostly at the beginning of launching a track; sometimes out of nowhere. Switching NDX digital output from native to 96/24 seemed to solve, but I don't want to do this owing to possible quality loss in up/down-sampling. A previous dalliance with a Hugo did not show up this problem. Can anyone shed any light? SPDIF reclocker between NDX and Mirus has been mooted.. Thanks folks.

I purchased my XPS2 in May 2010 and it was DR upgraded in September 2014. From May 2010 until August last year no fuse would ever tolerate more than 3 or 4 power ups of the unit before failing. Last year I started to keep a log noting dates and reasons why the XPS was switched off and powered up again. I was wondering what people's opinions are about switching off our naim systems when not needed and how long they need to warm up again. We switch off our entire system at bedtime and before going out to save energy. How long does it take, do you think, for the system to properly warm up again? Dave

After months of reading some interesting debates I decided to upgrade from my 200/202 to a 282/250DR. Having originally been told I'd need to patient and wait 6 weeks, the wait time has now gone up to double that and I'm expecting the new amps towards the end of June. How is it that the sleeves on the plugs become slightly loose - less than 1/8 of a turn? I find, when cleaning, that I have to check the plug sleeves from time to time to make sure they're still tight. What's causing them to come loose? Seems worse at the speaker end than the amp end.

I am well aware many dislike biwiring and biamping (passively), but there are many speakers out there begging to be biwired as a minimum. I don't claim to be an electronics expert, but will splitting one end of the NACA5 cable into 4 quality banana plugs offer the benefit of biwiring?

Hi Guys I noticed there is a problem with my audio output position. When I play Eagles's "Hell Freezes Over" both CD and Lp ,I noticed the lead guitar come from left position and the bass guitar at the right position.
