Hi everyone have just purchased a Nac 42.5 but it has moving coil boards in it. Are they changeable in this amp..I am not sure .?? . If so, what are the do's and do nots..?? Cheers Moderated Post

Hi My system is NDX/Supernait 2 with Proac D30R Speakers, with music fed from Qnap/Assett NAS. I do not wish to have any additional black boxes so any amp or network player upgrade is off the wish list. I like the system I have but wish to get the best out of it. Would adding a Hiline and two Powerlines put the icing on the cake so to speak.Any views on this would be appreciated. philip

I'm very much in doubt about buying a second hand CD5si or a CD5 (with almost brand new laser) Any suggestion or experience with those cd players? Flatcap option with the CD5 is not important for me. The amplifier will be a Nait 5i.

We have been enjoying our vinyl so much I am about ready to upgrade the cartridge from a vintage circa 2000 Lyra Helikon to a new Lyra Kleos SL. My Helikon is running, via Verdier, on a Moerch DP-6 Transcription 12" arm into a Superline-Supercap. Most people say 16 years is long enough out of a cartridge and the good people at Lyra believe a Kleos SL will be a straight swap with a minimum of fiddling required. Hi to all again... I have a doubt seeing the systems that you have. As some of you already know I have a UQ2 + PMC GB1i. I have to check several thinks in my setup before moving to an upgrade. The question that I have is related with playback volume. As I told recently... setting my Unitiqute2 to 40 (from a top of 100) it sound really loud, and my amp only delivers 30W...so using a NAP100, 200 or even bigger ones... what % of volume do you use during the playback? I,ve just "upgraded" my Arivas to Allaes and I'm not sure what to make of it, they're on the end of a Superuniti. I love the Arivas so when a pair of Allaes became available I thought it would be a no brainier upgrade. The Arivas are more "fun" sounding and more enjoyable however the Allaes have more detail, soundstage, bass extension. It's early days as I've just set them up and had an hour long listen, do they need time to settle down ? What are your expert thoughts ? Nick

Last month I took delivery of my 250DR, replacing the 200 I had had for a good number of years. In a desperate attempt not to buy a 250DR, which I'm not sure I need, I have pulled the trigger on an ex dem Rega RP8 and a Stageline that I definitely don't need. Now I can listen to my old vinyl complete with its crackles and pops and spend more money on albums I already own. All of this and I have saved myself £1,500 on the price of a Nap250DR. Oh God.

Yes, they have arrived. They are singing rather beautifully and I suspect have not been used for a while as they sound better today than yesterday. I just wanted to check how close to the wall to get them. My assumption is that like my old SBLs it should be as close as possible. Since the rear plinth extends a bit and running active with 2 strips of NACA5 that should not touch the tweeter arms I am finding it a bit difficult to get them as close as I had the old speakers though. OK, I might have a little cash to spend (circa £2750) in June and am considering one of two options to balance the system slightly further up the 'ladder'. Presently I use NDX:NDAC/XPS2 source HiLined to 282/HCDR and out to NAP 200 then Ovator S400. My two thoughts are: 1. Sell HCDR & 200 and buy S/H Supercap2 & 250.2 or 2. Sell 200 and buy new 250DR, retaining the HCDR on the 282. This will be my resting place for a while due to kids education expenditure so 'balance' is important.

I'm looking at two turntables, Rega Rp3 and Project 2 xperience. My system is a 282 with 2 hicaps, 2 nap 200's and a nap 250 driving ATC scm 40's. Opinion is divided with the Rega being bass light with the Elys cartridge and the Project lacking excitement with an Ortofon 2M blue. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

Just got my LP12 back from the dealer where it had a service, new motor and Kore fitted. All well and good. The only problem is that it has given me a bit of a dilemma. I had just also purchased a pair of late model Isobariks. The idea was to test them out then put them in storage pending the completion of building work on the house. However when I plugged the refettled LP12 into them via the 282/HCDR/250DR I had to rethink what passive Briks were capable of. Admittedly it had been 20+ years...

Want to be sure that I can change up from a 200 amp to a 250dr amp. I'm using a 202 w/hi-cap dr and a 200 amp.Shouldn't the hi-cap be providing the power to the 202 instead of the 200?

hi all so it's been in the back of my head lately as if I should look into replacing my NAP 250DR for a NAP 300DR? No I don't have a power supply nor any SL cables and would like experienced opinions if possible.
