I've got an RCM which is an older model Loricraft. It has an arm with a suction hose on it, and my hose being old I tried to replace it with something I found at the hardware store...it's too stiff and affects the arm movement. Where can I find some 1/8" suction hose (in simplified metric this is 3.175mm); which is soft and won't resist bending--won't get hard over time (yeah, yeah the suction makes it hard)? I found some automated controls dealer, but they want to sell me 100 ft.

Hello, My DV XX2 mk2 is coming to the end of it's life - almost 5 years of relatively heavy use so its time to consider my options. I wonder if a 272 lite, which was a 272, but without the built in PSU, and which would work with XPS or PS555 would be possible from Naim. Slightly lower cost also please, and less redundancy. I am sure quite a few people feel that since they have XPS or are going to buy one anyway, there is no need for the built PSU of 272, and if it saves a few quid (more please though), it could be a very attractive proposition would there be some interest in this? Volume increment issues: listening to Tidal sourced music at night though this setup is great. I have a lightening to USB out of my phone and a Chord Company cable into the DAC V1... But... My volume adjustments are determined or 'regulated' by the iPhone in steps of 24. So we go from Volume 50 to 74. Something in the middle would be just nice ☺️ i know it's an async connection but wondered if there's a settings adjustment either on the phone or DAC V1 that anybody's aware of? THANKS!!

250dr arrived this morning after impulse purchase on the auction site. As I'm currently running IBLs active with 2x 250.2 the plan was to test it to ensure it was working then pop the 250.2 back in and store the DR until funds permitted a matching companion. Needless to say the 250.2 didn't make it back on the rack and I'm searching down the back if the sofa for loose change to get a mate for the DR. Regular readers might recall that I’ve twice tried a 252 in my system, expecting it to out-perform my 282. These were both long home demos but on each occasion, while the 252 dug out more detail, I found that on rock music the 252 just didn’t deliver the excitement I so liked about the 282 so the 282 stayed. Thinking of buying a Mu-so, which I have heard briefly. Then whilst searching for similar items at that price level I came across the Beoplay A6. Regrettably trying to find a dealer in Lincolnshire that does both is a bit unlikely. I can get to hear an A6 at a B&O dealer and Mu-so a mile away, but will have to travel a bit to do this, which I will do. I have read reviews of both (What Hi-fi) and they give both good reviews. I'm upgrading from Uniti2/Proac Studio 125s to NAP200/NAC-N272/Proac D48R (streaming from a NAS). Should I swap out my speaker cable (currently the black Naim stuff)? One dealer says Naim speaker cable is best. Two others say that even the lowest-priced Nordost will improve the sound greatly. What do you think?

Do I need a DAC? We have just started to listen to our old LP's with Linn LP12 after listening to several LP's. Then tried playing Adele 25 CD with Densen Beat 400 upgraded to + and it sounded very brash in comparison we have always prefered Vinyl but also like the convenience of a CDP. I've got for stereo system nac 202 and nap 150x. And as HT preamp audiolab ap8200 with the same nap 150x with unity gain and napv175 as HT amp. When unity gain is on and cd5i Is plugged in very loud hiss comes from the speakers. When cd5i Is not connected, everything works fine. What Could be wrong?

Has anyone compared any two or more of PMC Twenty-26, PB1, Fact 12, IB1/2 & MB2 speakers, and if so what were your comparative impressions? To put in context it would be useful to include some indication of the listening room, and amplification used. I think I am going to start demo-ing some stand mount speakers and wondering what I should put on the short list... budget is around 5K - 10K (Canadian). My system is a 300 DR / 252 (sources NDX>Hugo TT / Rega RP 10 / Superline / Supercap). Listening room is small-ish... 12 feet x 13 feet x 9 feet ceiling height. Would prefer to not have a sub in the room if possible. The only product that I know will be included in my testing is the Focal Sopra 1... which is at the top of my budget...

This article might be the best Naim piece I have ever seen in the US press. I will post it here when it shows up on their website. It is worth buying the paper copy for. The article is about the AV Options rebuild, recap, and refresh (including deep cryo treatment of the transformer and speaker cables) of a Nait 2. Art Dudley has an appreciation for cool stuff. Check it out. My copy came in the mail today.
