Hello, 3 weeks ago i added a NAP100 to my UQ. Connect NAP to UQ with RCA lead. Pre amp out into RCA. Speakers set to none. When i turned it back to big speakers there is no difference in SQ. I just disconnected the NAP100 en let the UQ do all the work. Again there is no difference . Speakers are Neat motive SX1. Did i missed something or is there no difference whatsoever?   Greetings.

My Naim boxes sit next to the right hand speaker, so when I bought my new wires I folded the one for the right hand speaker a couple of times so that it was hidden behind the rack. Suspecting that it's not really a 'good idea' I've now stretched it out along the wall, so that it's no longer folded. Is there a difference - bloody hell yes! Hi everybody, i have a simple question about that, how can i use the Rel neutrik spekon cable in high level to Naim speaker output already used for loudspeaker cable...my question is: it's possible to join the subwoofer cable (yellow red and black) with loudspeaker cable in the same 4 mm connector? At moment i use low level type, from pre/out Naim amplifer to LFE input Rel sub with RCA cable but i prefear use Hi level as reccomended by Rel Acoustic. Hope you undestand my english. Just purchased focal sopra 2's, do I go for nap 250dr or pre owned nap 300 not dr? Also nac282 or 252? Any thoughts?

I have a simple but nice NAC32.5/HiCap/NAP250 system with LP 12/Ekos/Lyra Delos and Audiolab 8200CD sources driving Naim Ariva speakers. I wondered if anyone knows whether I could drive the Arivas actively with another 250 and Naxo and what conversion would be required? Thanks

Does anyone know how to update the firmware using Bluesound software?  I have copied the wav file to my NAS where my music is stored but when I click on the folder holding the wav file, the Bluesound app just says no results available.

Is it better to connect SuperCap to SN2 or HiCap is enough?

This project had the aim of removing unwanted side-effects from having empty Fraim shelves in my system, where I found I did need them for more height and ease of cable-dressing. Hello, I have a very technical question. I'm doing a bit of experimenting and I'm looking for a cable to connect my CDX2 to a Chord 2Qute DAC. I've looked for something affordable but it doesn't look like these bnc cables are so easy to find and I'm not sure I need a BNC on the DAC side. Anyone has any suggestion? Thanks

I'm in the process of obtaining quotes for a dedicated power supply . I asked the electricians for a separate  Isolation Fuse BEFORE the existing circuit breaker box, minimum 30 amp, preferably 45 amp, as a bit of research on the forum suggested that this was the key requirement (along with 10mm2 cable which isn't a problem).  The quote has come back with "connect the new  radial  circuit (I asked for a spur) to a new 2-way consumer unit located within the external meter...

It seems that NAIM only wants us to use NAC A5 or SL speaker cables. Has anyone here tried any other Cables and if so, was the result satisfying? Has anyone had problems with their NAIM amps when using other than NAIM speaker cables?

System: ND5XS + XP5XS, NAC 252 + Supercap, NAP 300DR + NAP300PS. For some reason, maybe a bygone sense of frugalness or the fact that my last amp was a Musical Fidelity A1000 Class A that ran very hot, I power off the Supercap and NAP300PS each night then power up around 7pm to 11pm, longer at the weekend. The other units I leave on all the time. What is the general opinion should I keep all units powered up 24/7? Appreciate your views.

Hello, I picked up a demo 1st generation UnitiQute that I am using as a source with my Nait XS2.  I have read my manual and scoured the forums but don't understand what the AV Bypass is actually bypassing and if I should use the bypass or not. Hi Team Just been talking to the renowned Class A regarding my 82 service later in 2016. It was explained that this option might be considered at the same time as the service. Its quite a few hundred quid extra now, so the Q is, any feedback on the + or - of the mod itself, would putting the money toward say, a super cap, be more cost effective?   Many thanks

Hi Guys,  Still not made a decision with regard to speakers but I have noticed that many speakers do not seem to perform until the volume is cranked up. Can anyone recommend speakers that can bring out the detail at low volume?   Steve  

I took delivery of an ND5 XS today, along with a naim 152 pre & 155 power amp. This was an upgrade from a UnitiLite, which had a clock display when idle or after a screen timeout. The ND5 doesn't have a clock/time display! Is there a hidden setting somewhere that enables it? I know it sounds silly but the UL was the main clock in the living room and I'm already missing it. Please, someone tell me it's somewhere and I just need to activate it?

If I were powering a Stageline with a *cap, using a Snaic5, should I take the signal - with a 4-pin, 270° to 5-pin, 180° slic/Snaic - from the *cap or from the Stageline's own 4-pin output socket? Thanks, Max
