The NAP250.2 has the ability to deliver 400VA on transients. Everywhere I look it states 1VA=1W, therefore I assume my amplifier is rated at 80W @ 8 Ohms,  ?W @ 6 Ohms  and 125W @ 4 Ohms, ?W @ 2 Ohms, and with 400W on transients.  Do we...

Does using one of these on a NAP 250 or NAP 300 void the Naim warranty?

Guy's, I really need your help before I unnecessarily spend some money, My current system is a unitilite with B&W 685s2, but I keep looking at ex demo/display U2 or SU to replace the Lite. My question is I am really happy with what I have, if I make the upgrade would I notice the sonic upgrade with my current speaker which I would not upgrade for about 18 months or do i stick with what I have??? Or do I buy a NAP 200??? Thanks in advance.

It is so easy to take for granted excellent service. I would love to give massive kudos to Naim Christchurch NZ. It's people like Bruce that make Naim more than just a music box. I had posted yesterday that I was concerned about an issues with...

Hi all   I am in 'mid save up mode' towards either the SU or a 272/250 early next year.  In the meantime I had sold my Linn gear and am currently running a Marantz setup (NA6005/PM6005) ad interim with some Monitor Audio Silver 1's....

Hi, I unfortunately gave my Cds2 a good knock yesterday.  Fortunately It still works, but I've noticed that when I give my rack a little bump I can here some knocking inside the Cds2 transport, it's not the tray either. I searched this forum...

Has anyone any experience with 'grounding boxes' I just saw a picture where one of these boxes had been opened and there was practically nothing inside! H

I would much appreciate any opinion/experience re using Super Lumina speaker and IC cables in my humble 272 + 250DR + ATC system.   Would it be overkill in a system at this level?   Clearly I need to arrange an audition and preferably at...

I am using a Sonos connect , Nait 5i and usher s520 speakers. There is a considerable buzz on the speakers which increases if I turn the volume up. The reason for the buzz is the Sonos connect. Is there anything that I can do to eliminate this...

Hi, I have been the owner of a pair of KEF ref 205.2 for 5 years now. They are very nice sounding speakers, but I think they lack bass attack and their treble are far too much. So they are sounding too bright, I think. They are monitor-like, only...

Hi all, I have just purchased a Naim CD5si from my dealer and will be picking it up on Thursday, it will be replacing my TEAC T1 and Eastern Electric DAC. This is mainly due to age of my TEAC and also its just too big. I have also just purchased a...

What are Naim standard interconnect cables. The grey often referred to as lavender is what I'm thinking. I may have my Stageline S sold and the product specification indicates it comes with a standard interconnect but doesn't specify 5-5 or 5-4 PIN. I...

I see the notice of the reopening of HiFi Corner, Falkirk this coming Saturday.    I bought my first "hifi" there in around 1987, a Mission Cyrus 1 (which I still have and replaced my Technics SU-V3), and a Philips CD player, my first...

What about the a.m interconnect cable, DIN/DIN configuration, obviously compared to HiLine? Has somebody tested it and choosed it as definitive cable?   I currently use an HiLine between my CDX2 and SN2, but recently I moved to Tellurium Q Black...

I'd like to own a Naim DAC, like the V1, but without the headphone amp inside. A half sized DAC, with the ability to put a HiCap next to it on the rack to have a 2 piece / 1 rack DAC with the SQ of the full sized DAC & P/S. Is that possible to achieve, or indeed warranted. It would look neat, reduce rack size and be a great use of a proper hifi separate to join the rest of my system, What do you think Naim?

XPS2 for sale pretty good price, looks mint. The DR upgrade is £925 I think, would it be worth a punt on this XPS2 then DR upgrade later on? Wanted to keep to 2 boxes, but it is a good price and might be worth it? Has anyone here gone for XPS DR already to assess the performance jump? Thanks.
