Hi George, I thought it better off to start a new thread for the Leak Troughline antenna .. checking the circuit diagram of the Leak (see below), the antennas inputs go into the  balanced  (300 ohm) and unbalanced (75 ohm) taps of a...

Anyone got any tips or advice on the best way to do this?  I have the original boxes and the top of the speakers is pretty easy to figure out but the bottom where the plinths and spikes are, less so.  Looks like they use the spikes to go...

Looking at the connections guide, the Hicap is to power the CD5 and in turn the signal goes from CD5 to the 82.  Is there a reason why this is so, as opposed to the Hicap sending the signal to 82?

I'm curious about using the Hugo TT as a preamp in combination with a Naim power amp, possibly a NAP 250. I currently have a Supernait 2 & Hicap DR and was considering an upgrade to separates, most likely a NAC 282 & NAP 250 but is there any reason I can't just do away with the preamp and remove a whole box from the equation? Chord constantly talk about how good their DAC's sound when used straight into a poweramp, how feasible is this is with Naim and is it a good...

So I have bought myself an ex-demo Naim NDX (thank you Henry and James @ TomTom) which hopefully will be arriving on Friday. Having wanted one of these since they arrived in stores, I am really quite looking forward to it and know it will be a significant upgrade to my Logitech Squeezebox Touch/Beresford DAC combo… The interesting thing will be how it measures up to my CDX2, I have read a couple of mixed reviews, some favouring the CDX2 and others favouring the NDX… Looking forward to the...

Does the 250.2 have a balanced XLR input? If so would it be possible to connect a Hugo TT DAC directly as this has balanced XLR output? Tia S

i am trying to decide between a pre/amp combo and an integrated one.    For the integrates, looking at the SuperUniti or the Uniti 2, which I see both have specific sub out connectors in the back. But for the pre/amp combo, I am looking at...

Hi I recently bought a XS and I want to hook up my minidsp to so I can use it as crossover/subEQ between my satellites and subwoofer. But when I tried to connect it between the pre amp in and power amp in, it died and doesent wake up. Only when i refit the link it works again. I understand that the pre amp loses its power when the link is removed, but cannot I solder something together so it keeps its power and the signal is being filtered in the Minidsp? So now I´ve bought a DIN to 4 RCA in...

Appreciate some advice on getting to my end game system. Next year we will get rid of our house and move into a bungalow after some building work, which incudes a soundproofed and treated audio room, dedicated mains, approx. 30ft by 25ft. I’ve have/had some reasonably high end kit – Meridian / Musical Fidelity / Arcam but Naim is where I intend to remain, after I bought the ND5XS I was sold on the new black stuff. I still have a Pink Triangle/32.5/110/Neat Petite system I use now and then.

Yesterday I received a brand new cdx2. I tried to connect it with one of the two Hi Lines I have.  I realised that the one for the V1 has a connector different from the standard interconnect supplied with the cdp. The other one is RCA to 5-pin...

So recently I acquired a s/h LP12 (circa 1982, pre-Cirkus bearing) with the Ittok-Adikt combination to play through my SuperUniti / Focal 926s.  This is paired with the recommended Lejonklou phono stage.  The TT was set up and cart installed...

Are there two types of naim din 4 pin SNAIC's, i.e. Is there a 240 degree 4 pin and a 180 degree 4 pin. Or are all naim 4 pins the same whatever the arc of the pins are? I'm connecting a Hi cap out 4 pin (180 or 240) to Nac 202 in 5 pin 180 ...

Hi, I am looking for a recommendation to connect my Rega Aria PreAmp (RCA out) with my SN2.    I am currently using a Phonosophie RCA to DIN5 cable, which is not too bad. I was thinking about Hi-Line RCA to DIN5 cable but maybe you have...

The topic of non Naim speaker cable compatibility and the risks associated with a mismatch have, I know, been discussed to death on the forum. But after searching through all the historical posts one thing is clear, there hasn't been a good technical answer on the parameters of compatibility. In case the point of this post isn't clear, let me state now this is purely about compatibility and not quality or cable recommendations. Naim's statement on their website is clear: If you wish to use...
