2-3 months ago had the DR upgrade for my 250.2. On the Naim Products page for this amp they say it "now includes" NA009 transistors (from 500) and also DR technology. So as per heading, when I got it back refurbished from Salisbury did/does it have the new transistors?

Hi all, my 555ps is of 2006 vintage and from memory the service period is 10-15 years making mine right in this window. What signs would I hear to signal a service is required now as opposed to say 12 months time? Compared to my LP12 it sounds a bit harsh and “trebbely” - will probably have a chat with my helpful local dealer but any views on here? thanks Gary

My system hadn't changed at all for just shy of 6 years. It started with an email from the dealer. "I have one ND555 that's not been spoken for." My initial response? "No thanks I'm ok." That lasted about 18 hours . . . So everything but the Fraim and the 555DR ultimately left. NDS/SN2/HCapDR became ND555/252/SCDR/250DR. (Already owning the 555DR helped a lot, and the trade-in process helped an awful lot. I was thankful to get a very fair trade and not have to sell items myself.) Still...

Hi I have a UnitiQute (1) / Harbeth P3ESR system. I've temporarily been using some old QED cables. A also have NAC A4 cable from way back when I used to have a big system. What I don't have is connectors for the Uniti. So... should I get connectors fitted on the A4, or go for something else and sell the A4..?? Listening mainly to digital streaming these days. Thanks! A post from a few years ago says to use a "3.5mm cable into the remote out jack of the 252 and remote in jack of [NDS.]" The ND555 wants a 3.5mm jack, but it sure looks like the 252 wants an RCA jack, not a 3.5mm! What's the right cable -- 3.5mm mono jack to a single RCA jack?

After 12 years the rubber membranes surrounding the cones on my Dynaudios were splitting. Dynaudio don't do refoaming kits, they wanted to sell me new drivers at €240 each, plus dealer fitting. I couldn't find anybody who was just willing to change the membranes until I chanced across a 1-man band in Coalville, Leics called Pro Audio Service. Can I please get some advice on buying second hand Naim. I’m looking at pre/power/psu but nothing over 5 years old. I can possibly buy one of them new so what would that be? I was thinking it best to buy the pre amp new and the power/psu used. Any do’s and dont’s??

Back in April a few of us visited the Naim factory in Salisbury. The visit came about following an idea last year, and took a while to set up. Naim did us proud and we all had a really enjoyable day. Others who attended may wish to add more, but for now, here is the group photo.

Hello everybody, I'm experiencing a persistent issue with my brand new installation (Uniti Atom + Naim cable + Scansonic MB2.5). As I said in a previous post (that is now closed) the sound gets "deaf" or "muted" at times. I need to push the volume up to "free" the sound until it gets "deaf" again. Hello Recently I got a 2nd hand Naim Nait 1. It still has good shape & sound. :-) I am using Linn Klimax DS / 1 as a source, and the speaker is a old Linn Kan mk1. The connection cable between the devices was Chord's Din-RCA cable to the Tape input. At that time, I was satisfied without any problems. anybody use these under their loudspeakers? My Focal 1038 be sit on hardwood floor over cement slab. They are spiked and the spikes sit on Fraim Chips. The Focal`s are quite rigid. Very difficult to move around. Was reading up on the Gliders and thought if I put them under my spikes it would be easy to slide speakers around and can experiment with different speaker locations in my very large room. Should've known this wasn't going to be easy, and I finally appreciate the value of a home demo!... In my new house the living room is almost square, roughly 4.5m x 4.5m. There has been a lot of talk about the new ND 555 and by all accounts, it blows the old NDS out of the water. I see that the new NDX 2 is also going to be available soon (or it might already be available in some countries). Anyone has any idea how the NDX2 compares with the old NDS?

I was just wondering if it was best to used distilled water or deionised water to clean vinyl LPs? I'm assuming either will do, but that tap water should be avoided. I'd be interested to know what others use.

So I had a demo of an ex dem cdx2 with Nait XS2 and also comparing Supernait 2. Initially heard Pmc twenty5 23 speakers. They suggested that I try the Spendor A7. I preferred the Spendor s presentation. The soundstage was amazing and 3D. It seemed as if you could pin point each instrument in the room. Hello - I just searched the forums and didn't find an answer, so here goes. I just purchased a CDX2 second hand from my dealer. It's a version one - no digital out. I was told by the dealer that, a while back, the transport had actually been replaced with a newer one, because the original owner was afraid of transport failure. It actually sounds quite good.
