I have the opportunity to acquire a 555PS DR at a favorable price but the currency owner lives in Sweden. Is there a way to utilise/modify the Powerline EU ( without compromising quality) or would I have to buy a new powerline

Hi I seem to be having problems with my system go to play a CD with Naim 202/200 via Allae speakers and the right channel crackles whilst adjusting volume only when altering volume. Once its set to the volume you want it works OK. Don't want to renew the speakers as I have had them for 15 years now and hope they will see me out, Don't listen to them as much as I did whilst in the UK bu nice when I need to here in in NZ other priorities!

Well today, and I am not quite sure why, I decided to replace my NAT05 with my NAT03... it’s the first time I have done this since I bought my 552. Wow what a difference... the NAT03 is simply streets ahead... it really boogies and grooves.. and I surreptitiously watched other family members, and feet were tapping in a way that just didn’t happen with the 05. Perhaps synergy, I don’t know but the NAT03 with the 552 is simply gorgeous.., yes I don’t get the tuning presets with the remote...

I would like to know how I would go about using my XS-2 as a pre amp but with an old Arcam power amp I have. The Arcam has phono inputs of course, but the Naim has Din but also carries a voltage/power output from the pre amp output it seems. Does such a cable/link exist already for this purpose. Although I have owned the XS -2 since late 2013, I have thus far not delved into Naims unique connection system, such as the way power supply upgrades are connected using the pre/power in/outs etc.

insane I know, but I do think this set up is a sq improvement vs original set-up, a bare superuniti paired with B&W 804 d2’s. 804’s still buried in storage, I suspect it will be Xmas once more when those eventually do get connected. Certainly not unhappy at present , though most serious listening done with headphones.

Have used these almost exclusively for many decades. Having bought several LPs recently and unable to find the older sleeves I got some from Amazon which have just arrives in an enormous crumpled cardboard box. Some online Amazon reviews suggest they are no larger and don't fit in the inner sleeve. The sealed set of sleeves I've received do not have the No. 102 printed on the outer sleeve but looks to all intents and purposes genuine. Any thoughts?

I am having a complete re wire of my house done including a dedicated supply for my main Naim system . Whilst initially sceptical my spark is now fully embracing the dedicated supply element of the project. He has discovered the MK sockets with RFI filtering - does anyone have any experience/views on these please

Hi all i saw the ND555 at my dealers on saturday they were already doing a dem so did not get to hear it just out of interest members who have heard the ND555 how do you think it will compare to a NDS with 2 PS555 thanks for your thoughts.

Hope someone can help me obtain some acoustic foam for these superb speakers. The black foam inside the woofer section has perished and turned to dust. Spoken with Naim and they haven't got any and aren't sure where I could obtain some. Apparently deterioration of this foam is common so hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction.

So I have two 555PS's, and I have (say) an ND555 and also a CD555. Do I ever play them together? ...No. I have two 555PS plugged into my (say) ND555. Each 555PS has one outlet used and the other outlet unused. Is there any reason, I'm wondering, why the two unused outlets on my two 555PS's could not be used to power my CD555 ? Having approached my local NAIM dealer, Radar, in Hong Kong been and been told the nap250/nac282/nd5xs2+ps was over £15,000, i call a dealer in the UK. Excluding VAT this system seems to be available for around £9,000 but they are not allowed, for whatever reason, to ship to HK. Many of the newer second hand items were actually more expensive that the excl. VAT brand new ones. Is there any way for NAIM to get around this? After a brief hiatus away from Naim, I chanced across a bargain Nait 5, and thought, yes I really really would like remote control again, so newly serviced Nait now in place. I am wondering why you have to turn the volume control at least to 11 o clock before any decent sound is produced? That is listening through a phono stage (Nakamichi ca-5 pre through tape out). The original foam grills on my SL2 speakers are slowly disintegrating, giving off an oily powder. Apart from Tom Tom Audio at £224 I have found that speakergrills have finally developed them and will be selling for about £120.

Anybody using the nap 300dr and is it capable of driving the pmc fact 12 I have demo the fact 12 at home with the 250dr but not great especially on the low end it did sound better in show room don't get me wrong the 250 Dr was doing OK in mids but low seem to be loose muddy.

I' m amazed by the natural tone of my Harbeth Super HL5plus. (272/555DR/250DR) Over a period I have been aware of it's limitations. Dynamics or speed and a bit in the bassdepattment. I'm not sure whether this question is appropriate for this forum as it is only very distantly linked to my Naim system, but here goes in case someone may ba able to provide advice. I am looking at purchasing a Pro-Ject MKII vinyl cleaning machine and they are considerably cheaper in the UK than in NZ. However, if I order one from the UK it will have a UK plug. Does anyone have advice on whether running it off an UK:NZ adapter will solve the problem or is this a question for an electrician?

and whooooo does this work!! Like everything is improved, the transparency, the depth, the bass, the heights, the lack of distortion. I just have a real instruments and persons in front of me. The increased headroom makes it shine. Of course depending on your speakers, mine are Magico S5, one should really consider this. With the 552 we are not in the Statement league yet but we are getting close....

My Superline is fed by a high quality phono lead from my LP12. The Superline feeds the signal within the same SNAIC (5 pin 240 degree DIN to 5 pin 240 degree DIN) cable that is used as a DC power cable from my HiCapDR. I have a case of upgradeitis and I’ve been looking to change my Superuniti. I auditioned the new Nova and wasn’t overly impressed with it, I’m looking at getting a 272/200 combination as this was a massive leap forward in terms of everything I like about the Naim sound. It still is a fantastic sounding thing and offers all of the connectivity I could ever want but as it doesn’t support the latest Chromecast etc is it now obsolete? Nick
