???? SCHIIT LYR2,..Headphone-amplifier,Dac and Pre. A headphone-amp with tubes,is there anyone here who has listened to this.? You can use it with everything from Hifimann-lurking to Utopia. I have never listen to a tube headphone-amp,so it would be fun to possibly test this or something else with tubes to the headphones. I have had many common tube amplifiers,but never to headphones. Can someone please confirm that the round DIN5 blank plug and the DIN4 paddle plug present on the rear of a NAC202 are not required when the HiCap and NAPSC upgrades are used. I've just removed the round DIN5 plug and connected a HiCap. I assume the plug can now just be retired to the cupboard for good?

Ok....I have decided to upgrade my old Apollo rack. It has come down to two options, neither are ideal...... but that’s what you get for living in an inperfect world. Below are my two option. checking out the addition of an xps2 to 272 streamer. When Burnby detached and original power cord re-attached to 272, the 272 will not power up. Does the burnby reset the 272 internally and if so, how to reverse?

My NDS dropped a channel last month after a few on off cycles when I was installing new Scap elsewhere in the chain, and also switching off to avoid lightning in the area. Off it went to Naim who apparently fixed some issues and tested it. Except it is the same. The Left channel is running about 2% volume. Now I am obviously going to ring service and get some ideas tomorrow but in the meantime all suggestions appreciated. All other sources are fine. I have swapped the interconnect, no better...

Just a quick question. The red and black markings on one of my RCA to 5-Pin DIN interconnects have faded so I have no idea which is which. Does it matter if the positive and negative direction on the RCA end is switched? Will it affect sound quality in a negative way? The cable is used to connect the CD player to the Naim preamp . Any information would be appreciated.

My Nait Xs2 has lost a channel so is off to be fixed. In the meantime I've popped in an old Nait 5 ie 30 W/channel – what surprises me is that this seems far more powerful than the Naim XS2 which is 70W/channel.Any ideas why?? Thanks

as an almost new owner of a used cd555 thanks to a forum friend Analog I will be able to use my 555ps now also curious about new stremers as well both cd555 and nd555 are 555ps only sources but it will pain me to buy another 555ps there must be a way to power both sources one by one using a single ps for us using 2 digital naim sources Maybe Naim can come up with a solution other than connect/disconnect for old customer who still love their cd players

Just a quick thank you to the Guys at Peter Tyson and Mark for the demonstration of the ND555 and Statement system with some massive Focal speakers yesterday. Of course it should be good for a £250,000 system, but boy did it deliver. Started out with the NDS as the source, which sounded bloody good, but there was no doubting the improved depth of the sound and cut glass clarity when the ND555 was swapped in. There are channels I can get on DAB which aren't available FM. So I listen to DAB, whether it is our little Roberts Radio, my car DAB stereo, or my 'other manufacturer's' DAB tuner through my Naim/ATC system. I am aware that in the past, FM has been criticised for only having a bandwidth up to 16kHz (less than the 20kHz of CD). And DAB has been lambasted for its sound quality on many occasions. Got the system up and running and it just gets better every day. I liked the Super Uniti for 4 years but this is just in a different place. I am streaming and hearing stuff I have never heard before and now get the PRAT piece. The bass from the Totems is just right for my ears. A great sound....XPS DR hmmmmmmm. Any other suggestions ? Hi all I've decided to buy the Nait 5si and I'm considering suitable speakers for my room which is about 5.5 x 4.5 metres. I have read great reviews on both the Harbeth P3ESR and Stirling Broadcast BBC LS3/5a V2 and wondered if anyone here has compared the two speakers or currently owns either combination. Subject to a demo, the choice of amplification for my NDX 2, will be NAC 282 and NAP 250 DR. This has pushed my budget to the hilt, but I think it's worthwhile to avoid an attack of upgraditis in a years time. I know there are a few Kann users out there. Have any of you had issues adding an SD card? I have bought a Kingston Canvas Go! 512GB card and the device just will not recognise it. Moved house recently and intend having a dedicated music room, but the problem I have, is that one of my 'Tellurium Black' 3 metre speaker cables is 0.75m too short for my set up. I am informed that it's not good to have one speaker cable longer than the other. At about £58 per metre, I didn't really want to pay out on two new cables.
